I'm afraid that Dale Weise is AV's new Aaron Rome. Shouldn't be on any line except the 4th.
- Nucker101

I haven't been impressed with Weise. VAN should've claimed Blair Jones off of waivers to win their Malhotra-less 4th line draws and send Weise packing.

first off, my daily offer makes all of your weeks.

second, Kesler's back, your 2nd line'll pick it up. Just wait for Booth to come back and you'll all be fine.

as for the rest, it's 12 games in. No need to trade away roster players just yet.

and yes, Raymond is your version of Cloutier's MPS.

- TheNugeIsHuge

MPS is a weaker defensive version of Raymond. Both should be high end scorers with their skills but both are not good enough to be a top 6 on a good team and to soft to be bottom 6.

Are you trying to make AV Flacid. Weise isnt going anywhere as long as AV's boner is in charge.

I thought Jones would have been good as well. Weise stays and Volpatti goes. Neither is close to a heavyweight and Dale is far better without the puck mainly because he is a better skater

MPS has actually really picked up his defensive game. Krueger wants him to become Ryan Jones on a good day. He plays PK and it seems to be working quite well (EDM with 5th best PK right now). I'd love to have MPS stay in EDM as a 3rd line role player as I think VAN should hold on to Raymond. He's a speedster who can occasionally give some fire to the VAN roster. They wouldn't get much value for him in a trade (more than EDM would for MPS though) so there's no use in ridding of him.

(frank)ing Stewart. Good penalty by Hammer, these are the PK's you gotta kill.

Shouldn't have been a penalty... But speaking of penalties you SHOULD take and have to kill, I wish someone had jumped Backes after the non-call running of Luongo.

Wow. Figured the refs would jump at a chance for an even up call

Backes alone could have been called for at least a couple of penalties in this game so far. Once you get the "tough" team reputation you seem to be able to get away with a little more in this league IMO which is a little strange.

Sleepwalking through another game. If he's not going to generate scoring chances he better learn to consistently mash people.

Pretty quiet this game. But he's been the best player on his line for the most part since being moved from the Sedins'. Making some great passes, but nobody is finishing.

Hope he can find some chemistry with Kesler.

Here's some impossible trivia... Name a player (other than Burrows) that's ever had chemistry with Kesler while on his wing 5 on 5.

At the end of that period I saw Kesler playing between Schroeder & Raymond... REALLY? Same thing they tried with Hodgson when it was OBVIOUS Kesler should have been on Hodgson's wing. Let the puck distributor & space creator play the central, buffering role GD it!

The Sedins
The bigger problem may be why can no one play with Kesler.

Maybe let Kes play right side with the twins and build the second line with Burrows?

Raymond, circa 09-10?

Yup, it's a bit of an issue. I can understand why some people are against shifting him to wing, but I think the Canucks need to at least entertain the idea to see how it works.

Wonder how a Schroeder/Kassian/Kesler line would work? Have two guys who could take draws if need be, and maybe have players shift after the faceoff....? I don't know?
