I'm not being a homer but Philly is not a very good team. They might be in worse shape than Buffalo. Buffalo might be worse right now, but we have a ton of good young players that will be making an impact in the next 1-2 years - sbroads24
the flyers are consistently in the playoffs and have a strong offense and bryz is looking better this year, they have struggled so far but have some pretty big injuries, they also have young players like giroux, schenn, cout who are already playing
buffalo strugges to make the playoffs and ruff hasnt shown he can get over the hump, in 15 years, yes buff has some nice prospects but who knows if they will be effective in the nhl
in the next 3-4yrs i see the flyers having a better chance at the cup than the sabres |

I applaud you.
And I agree.
I grow so wickedly tired of the Buffalo fan negativity.

I think they just want a winner and thought they might have one, but are now staring down at mass confusion once again... |

The only good thing about this ost is that he didn't mention ROR so that means there's a chance we are in on him.
And we all know that we are not getting iggy or kane now |

who do the Flyers have on D? There best guy is 38. We have a bunch of good young forwards too, obviously not as good as Giroux but as far as depth we will be right there with them |

Neither of these arguements are compelling reason for Iginla to want to wave his NTC to go to your respective teams. |

This times a million. I am not sure wht this team is doing. Trying to rebuil, trying to stay competative. I'm completly lost.
I have lost all emtion. I used to hate playing the B's, but now I am just meh. They will lose, and ill be ok with that. (I hate that fact, but i have accepted it)
Terry Pegula can want to win all he wants. Until he learns how to, this team will keep spinning its tires. |

I was saying I can't see him going to either but if he had to choose between Philly or buffalo it would be Philly since they have a better chance of winning |

We'll have to see where both teams are at come deadline time. That said, CGY will have a large say in this as well as Iggy, and to be honest, I'm not sure what prospects PHI has that they may part with that the Flames mgmt may have interest in. BUF seems to have more intriguing prospects from my view. If we are going the prospects route, CGY needs potentail 1st line C, top 6 potential RW (we are soooooooo weak here) or top 3 potential D. What have either of your teams have to move? Serious question. |

I would love Evander Kane in a Habs jersey but it's probably not going to happen. |

Probably not. The Habs don't have an owner that wants to build a winner. There's only one of those, and that's the team that players are gonna flock to like they do to Toronto. |

Vanek would be my pick for the MVP in the East, where that has taken the Sabres?.....last place in the conference. If they traded him at his highest value this year the return would be great and they solidify a near top pick in the draft. Next offseason they would have substantial cap space to try and sign Getzlaf, which is what they truly need...a first line center.
Edit: Especially if you can now keep cap hit dollars in trades (?). Vanek at $5mil instead of $7mil would be very attractive to someone who has to fit him under the cap next season. |

iginla is way over the hill at 35 years old thanks but thanks. Evander kane would be ok at best. The sabres do not need a left wing though , they need a center that can score and win faceoffs that is a top line center. That is the sabres biggest issue currently faceoffs and scoring besides vanek and pommmers. Honestly i would not want either one of these guys especially jerome. |

Lol vanek is a proven 30+ year goal scorer since his rookie season and will command way more then 5 mill per year when he hits the open market in 2 seasons. He will get payed what he is already getting payed 7 mill per or more. Anyone who thinks he will get less then that is on drugs. |
