easy, they want a chance to win the cup

its not like iggy going to buffalo is going to really help him financially, he has his contract, people in calgary love him, and im sure ownership treats him very well

if buffalo had a history of winning then maybe it would be different, but over the last 10years (or seasons) buffalo has only made the playoffs 1 more time than the leafs

I'm done aquiring players on the wrong end of their careers, even if it is Iginla who is a legend.

Honestly, at this point though I'd be worried about getting anyone on this team and having them be coached by Lindy. Stamkos would be a 15 goal scorer on the Sabres playing 3rd line minutes and the PK. Can't take time away from Hecht.

just because money is being spent doesnt mean its being spent wisely, why would iginla want to go to buffalo compared to a place like pitts, detroit, or anywhere that has shown that they can win?

the whole "pegula has money" thing is getting old and means nothing, players care about success on the rink when it comes to trades or in FA who pays them the most and if its close who gives them the best chance to win

something buffalo cant offer is a winning pedigree and it doesnt look too good this year either

I'm not being a homer but Philly is not a very good team. They might be in worse shape than Buffalo. Buffalo might be worse right now, but we have a ton of good young players that will be making an impact in the next 1-2 years
