I don't think he has the intelligence to tell the team what they need to do. Weight played the game, knows the game. Capuano is trying to remember his lines for his next Jenny Craig commercial. - Mr.Black
So did Cappy.. he didnt have the career that Weight had, but its not like he was hired off the street with no Hockey background.

Main reason why our PK is #3 in league is Grabner.
We can all sit here and wonder why Grabner cant finish but i dont think there is another player in NHL that creates that many chances for himself.
Opposing defenses at the point on PP are terrified when Grabner is on the ice. Grabs only needs to improve his conversion just modestly and he would been leading the league in goals.
Lets not get to excited on McDonald - Reason why he doing well is CIZIKAS. how can anyone say they warming up to Cizikas. Kid is excllent. the fact that Cappy benched him last game against the rangers was unbelievable.
Matt Martin is THE MAN. i would put that guy on first line but Boyes has been great.
Finley played his best game as an Isles last night. he earned another start for sure.
KO skated his butt off last night. ONly problem is he not making his presence known. He needs to start hitting people and shooting more. |

Ummm he played 2 NHL games that is it. So Weight has the NHLcareer and knows NHL Style of play while Cappy only knows the AHL style hence why we play that style |

Cappy was promoted because he ran the same system as Gordon. They figured it would be an easy transition.... |

It was actually worse than that...It was Muckalt, Chara and the 2nd overall pick (Spezza) for Yashin. I remember getting home and having a voicemail from my brother just Laughing (he's a Flyers fan). That was also the infamous end of Luongo. - keaner17
That day set our franchise back to a point it has yet to recover from. Thanks milbury ! |

I'll never forget Milbury after draft day saying "Mad Mike has done it again". Flippin' idiot. The guy could draft ok but he had NO patience what-so-ever. |

The team was bad for so long, he tried to make them good overnight which he sorta did. But, the price to pay after that team ran out of gas is what we have been looking at since 2004. The 2007 team had no business making the playoffs |

to get to play 2 games in the NHL, you must have some kind of hockey background to reach that point, yes?
No one is arguing why he is our coach.

Imagine if Tavares had bobby ryan and Corey perry like Getzlaf has? He might be up there with Crosby. |

I think I would hold on to Grabner though. He has played pretty well. I really dont think the Islanders will move him though. Amazing penalty killer very fast and can score goals on occasion LOL - kasperrko
We don't want players that score and produce. We want ones that are forever chasing their "potential" around here. |

I think it's obvious none of these guys are going to end up posting those point totals, but it's nice for a little temporary reference. |

Nielsen makes a nice pass to Bailey. Bailey with a one-touch drop pass to Okposo in the slot and Okposo...misses the net. That sums up his night for me. A minus and zeroes across the board. If that's what we get on a night where half the folks here are raving about him, then I think we can do with scratching him or at least taking him out of the top-six for a few games.
Edit -- let's not forget the amazing avoid-everyone-and-skate-to-the-corner backcheck on Gaborik's goal that drove Isles-Since-6 through the roof in the first. |

Exactly he cant hit the net to save his life. I dont know ever since that injury it is like he lost everything. I dont know what happened but it cant be because of his line mates. He could not do anything even with Tavares |

I agree we need to dump these guys doingnothing. I understand we will not get much for them at all but at the same time we need to start something here |
