This caller is feeling frustrated as we all are with the Sabres situation right now. I hope Black really, and I mean really understands the fans are unhappy with management. It's fine that Black understands it but if he says we aren't gonna change the coach or GM then he's pretty ignorant.

If this season is a poop hole like it is right now... I don't see a point in putting him in Buffalo unless he will get top 6 minutes.

if it was to replace Stafford I would be ecstatic... but if they are just going to put him on the 3rd line, I think it would be more beneficial to put him in Rochester to play with Flynn, Girgensons, Pysyk, and McNabb.

As much as I would like him here... It is a huge risk and we would have to pay twice for him...

We would HAVE to give Ennis.. which I am not opposed to but he is the only scoring happening not on the top line right now. If O'Reilly is rusty like I assume he will be on a new team... we are goign to hurt even more... and on top of all that he wants a 5 yr 25M deal I hear...

you forget that they already have chemistry... in that rookie camp the line of Girgensons - Grigorenko - Armia never spent a shift not together...

I think that at this point we should trade..

Ennis, Brennan/Pysyk, and a 3rd for ROR...

BUT... Avs best d-man Johnson just got put on indefinite leave with a concussion injury so they might be interested in a more ready D-man like Sekera or Leopold to be the major piece instead of Ennis. Who knows....

I would trade Stafford for Chris Stewart in a heartbeat right now...

Once Armia gets here.. we would have our top scoring lines but our 2nd/3rd lines would be interchangable in terms of ice time per night..

Foligno - ROR - Stewart
Ott - Grigo - Armia

I am sure I will get flamed for this... but I look at Hodgson has a better center than ROR at this point...

I think ROR's 50 pt season last year is being blown out of proportion a lot. I know that ROR has a two way game that is highly regarded at this point too.

Hodgson is a train wreck defensively. He has been on the ice for over 40% of our goals against, even going back to his games with us last season. That is one atrocious looking stat.

that is a fair assessment... I do realize that for being a top 25 scorer in the league currently and close to PPG player this season that he is not there defensively.. but honestly... that whole line is responsible for that 40% aren't they?

Pommer is the only some what defensive player on that line..

I love that line offensively.. but defensively they are just sad...

We either have pure offensive guys... or pure defensive guys it seems.... Pommer is the only well rounded guy in our front 9..

Foligno and Ott are our next closest rounded players...

Vanek, Ennis, Hodge, Stafford, Gerbe, and Grigo are pure offense...
