I like the looks and potential of that line! Grit, skill, and size!

Very washed up! He was good definsively back in the day but he as always been average or worse offensively. Hecht will be most likely be done after this year and hopefully girgensons will be NHL ready for 13-14 season. Same with Armia and Mcnabb and maybe even Pysyk

Do you really think Darcy will clean house though? That's a pretty big overhaul. He can't make a small move.

Thats a line made in heaven if they pan out. Armia the sniper, Grigorenko the set up man, and ZGirgensons to do the dirty work in the corners and go to the net

Well leo, regher, and hecht will be gone "contract years and i doubt they get resigned" so that gives us three extra spots.

Yes but he could at least make smarter decisions. His shot is awful yet he always shots first before pass first. He had pominville on a 2 on 1 against boston and he took a terrible bad angle shot. He does crap like that every game.

I didn't get to see the game due to a curling tourney I was in, but unless it was a shorthanded attempt, why was he on the ice with Pominville? Again, he doesn't make up the lines.

OTTAWA -- The Sabres have hit the ice at Scotiabank Place for their pregame skate. As Lindy Ruff said this morning, Mikhail Grigorenko is back in his normal spot on the third line. One of the fourth liners will be a scratch. The lines look like this:

Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville
Foligno-Ennis-Stafford
Ott-Grigorenko-Gerbe
Scott-McCormick/Hecht-Kaleta

The defense will have the return of Tyler Myers. The current pairs are:

Myers-Regehr
Ehrhoff-Sekera
Leopold-Weber
Sulzer-Brennan

I wonder what their plans are for Flynn. He's more of a sniper type player. A good finisher.

Armia should be in either Buffalo or Rochester in the next 2-3 weeks..

I hope he gets a chance to play a few games in Buffalo.. but he needs time in Rochester to get acclimated to the US game...

isn't that kind of what Pysyk is? McNabb is supposed to be your clear the net guy.. removing leo and brennan and bringing them in (when they are ready) could really help the d of this team.

if they aren't making room for Flynn i can't see them make room for Armia.. he will go to Roch and learn till we fold the season, trade away the grey beards and bring up the young guns for trial by fire

stafford needs pressbox time or dropped a line.. he has been tolerable defensively but we don't pay him to be a 4th liner. he is killing ennis and foligno
