We are a team that sorely lacks leadership. I'm not about to trade away a guy that's been compared to Toews and Messier when it comes to his leadership skills. And don't tell me about the Drury comparisons with O'Reilly. Because if he was the type of leader this team needed, he wouldn't still be crying about the contract that he's being offered by the Avs.

It's not only money IMO. Its length. The team wants a 2-3 yr deal he wants 5+ years.

I'd rather give up Grigorenko first to be honest. Girgensons is the guy that I really wanted them to take in the draft.

Schultz was a really rare set of circumstances. Some kind of loophole. I don't believe the O'Reilly situation is similar.
