And what evidence are they going to use?? The most concrete evidence doesn't prove it. - burn

Lol the TSN release is different to the NHL... guess Bell owns the Leafs now
"Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski will have a hearing with the NHL on Sunday at 4pm et, over an alleged biting incident that occured during Toronto's 6-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.
The incident took place during a third period scrum when several players came together after the whistle and Montreal's Max Pacioretty grabbed Grabovski's face with his bare hand and pulled at the Leafs' forward.
After the game, members of the Maple Leafs stated that they had not seen Grabovski bite Pacioretty, but they added that he was clearly provoked." |

any first year med student could - Dozzer
not without Grabo's dental impressions or something......anyone could bite Patches and he could claim it was Grabo. "Here Gionta you are used to stuffing things in your mouth - put this in your mouth and bite down."
Still I think he'll get a game. ShannaBan hasn't made himself talked about enough yet this year - he needs to go on a roll like last year. |

thats what i was asking earlier.
if thats the case the leafs could argue bias then.
but arent they there to determine concussions this year? i thought they made that change. a third party doctor has to be at games to allow a player to go back on the ice after a concussion scare no? - Dozzer
I don't think so.. |

He is though.
Whole team has no cohesiveness right now. Need something to make them play as a unit. Kruger said some poop about "adapting to the other teams style", which i hope was a mistake because they should playing their own system and making other teams do the same. - sanfordnson
They're built to feast on the PP and with crazy speed and counterattacks. It'll be fun to see Cloutier flip flop on Horcoff if you guys go on a losing streak |

Again. If a bite mark is what does it for a suspension, then Pax needs one for his wrestling move. Forcing your forearm around the face of another players and pulling back as hard as you can shouldn't be allowed. It goes both ways.
I mean, by the way that you're preaching, it sounds like Pax could try and fit a few fingers in Grabo's mouth, and if there are some bite marks, Grab gets the suspension. That's bullpoop. - Compeyson
and again
there is a difference between bite marks on flesh when the flesh is pressed against the teeth as opposed to a bite
pax should be looking at a hearing for being the third man in, i already said that myself.

ignoring what? Video is only concrete evidence and it isn't conclusive. Hence no suspension. |

excuses LM, nothing more
if you bite a guy its on you and no one else. - Dozzer
I didn't see the bite marks and I didn't see Grabo bite him, I did see the ref smirk and tell Patcherfaky to get off the ice, just like the puck over the line, if it is inconclusive, you can't say it happened.
Again, if he gets suspended, I don't care, I just want to hear the league explanation of the choking hold, that is all. I want them to acknowledge it. |

Funny part is, Komarov is probably the most responsible with his game out of our "hitters." |

marks on his flesh burn
you can tell by the marks left on the flesh
but again, if there isnt an NHL medical official present (not employed by the habs) then the leafs can argue bias which would throw that evidence out of the picture.
thats going to be the thing it hinges on. |

Since when is this a time to call in a medical examiner? Should we call in the RCMP too? You don't go choke holding someone around the nose and mouth, give them a game each, case closed then. - LeafMan
Leafman you forgot to mention he mouth gouged him first which is not even legal in the UFC... then he grabs him round the head blocking his nose and mouth... trying to smother the guy.
Then grabs his Visor and neck cranks him... Pac was innocent of course.. the biting feeling also could've been from contact with the visor when he was neck cranking him..
Pac has no business doing anything that I mentioned.. and most of the time Grabo's arms were tied up by the Ref and Prust.. Pac is a big wussy.. and needs another face plant to change his ways.

pax isnt going to be suspended.. a hearing would of been called already
the league obviously feels there is sufficient evidence of a bite or else they wouldnt of called the hearing.
its really very simple.. they arent going to call a hearing just because a player complains about something. there must be at least sufficient evidence to warrant grabo's hearing. |

Our FO% has dropped to something like 20% without him and Belanger. Cloutier is a fool. |

I'm not saying there isn't a difference, because force does leave a deeper impression. But really, if you look back at your posts, you could make the case with your (flawed) reasoning that any player with a bite mark and an "NHL doctor" (who are concussion specialists, not regular doctors) to confirm the marks will get someone suspended.
You are looking past what Pax did, which very well could wipe away Grabo's potential suspension. |

Exactly.... you know since the league didnt suspend a player with clear concrete video evidence of doing such and none exists here.
All we have is a whiner. There is no evidence. - burn

The sad part is the GM can't even respond because of the new rule, it is bush league. |
