Not that funny when Vitale checks 2 guys and and they call boarding twice. In fairness the Devils were the better team, and played a perfect snoozefest in classic Devil style. Thats good right?

Payback tomorrow, hopefully checking is allowed on Sundays.

everyone else is dirty and crosby is the furthest thing from dirty the ref considered it trolling that i brought up the trip or slue foot then spear and push on A-train from last game when they where in a pissing match with flyers fans about who is dirtier between crosby and giroux

Most biased officiating I've ever seen was the Penguins' going to the finals twice in a row, especially when they played the Capitals. I found it funny and oddly suspicious the amount of Pens sticks that broke from slashes.

But yeah, I went over there and had a good read. I didn't get a chance to watch this one today as I was doing something else, but chances are, 8 of the 10 PPs the Devs had were warranted. Notice all the stick infractions in the third... that tells you a team was getting outskated.

The officiating sucked. Bad call both ways, but the Pens certainly got the lions share of the attention. Considering how often they are the beneficiary of unfair officiating, you would think they would just accept it graciously.

The pens let the officiating get to them. Was it bad? Yes. But officiating is bad more often than it is good. Sometimes keeping your head down and keep playing is the best thing to do.

When teams play the Devils, they see red. The Lightning got cranky with the officials as well last game. The Devils will take 'em.

Does it really matter it was a fluke and the last game we will ever win against the Penguins so long as we are a franchise we will lose 100-0 from this point on against them untill we fold or get moved to a different city

It's comical when teams like the Penguins complain about biased officiating. Crosby is like the holy grail of the NHL with how he gets treated, along with the majority of their team.

The best is Lfyers fans complaining about calls when they are on NBC, or furthermore, complaining about biased commentary from the NBC guys. If anything, Comcast is nudging the announcers and/or refs to be biased toward the Flyers.

The Devils played a good game today, recognized the refs were calling everything and adjusted their game. Kudos to them. That being said, I'm just not sure what constitutes boarding/interference anymore...I just wish the calls were consistent from game to game.

Well, I know that the calls were consistently bad this game. Apparently doing anything while the other team has the puck constitutes a penalty now.

I felt the same way when the boarding in gionta went uncalled... Then I learned what a boarding major looks like in an elimination finals game tied 0-0. I had never seen a boarding major called Kim that before... BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE..... Yes I gotta let it go. But don't talk to me about officiating.
Special teams are everything in this new NHL.

Not only that but we are playing the greatest team ever assembled in the history of the NHL I'm sure yesterday is the last time we ever beat them in our franchise history not only that but they go on to win every game for the rest of the season 100-0 with Crosby getting the goal and both assists on all the goals
