just want some input in your thoughts......
would you sabre fans rather have a young/relatively young coach that may have up and downs for a season or two (few) but could build around the team and have success over a period of time (more of a gamble due to the "unknown" factor)
or would you want a vet coach who has shown success? - dmarsden2988

You need to listen to more Leaf fans. He scored in the Q. EVERYONE scores in the Q. Gringo's a classic grinder. Might have a few goals go in off his ass, Adam Mair style if we're lucky. |

Like I've said before. Montreal got a better deal for their "stud" d-man. - dadeadhead
Better deal in terms of the contract signed? Of course.
There were a few of us who were saying Myers shouldnt get paid until hes at least 26-27, like Weber did. Shouldve got a buffer contract. 3 years around 3 million cap hit. Back end loaded. |

Hes 18 might be 22 before it happens....many excellent players took a few year to develop and the rest of the team struggling isnt helping him at all ............i just hope we all don't give up on him (brass included) or his confidence get to rattled before he can reach his potential - aschwach
Not singling you out, but this stuff makes me laugh when I read it. Myers just turned 23. He's getting run outta town. Yet people right now are acknowledging that it might take a guy (Grigorenko) 4 years to develop. We will be patient with Grigorenko right now but just give it 2 seasons before people are calling him a bust. Again this isn't directed towards you. |

Whats up with Tallinder. - dadeadhead
healthy scratch, no real reason to look into it, deboar wants to keep players fresh and he has 7-8 dmen who can do the job, and needed to get larsson in there anyways and well larsson has looked good since he has been in the line up
deboar did say however that he pretty much missed a whole year (lock out + blood clot) so he is just getting back upto speed |

The world of sports laughs at buffalo, face the facts. We have Ralph Wilson at 124 screwing the bills up for years and now we have terry Daniel Snyder pegula who makes statements that lindy isn't going anywhere and he gives REGIER and extension. Wow 8 out of 16 years of playoffs, terry you know what you are doing. Let me give you some advice, pegula Snyder threw money around more the. Anyone in the nfl. They kept losing until someone with half a rain came in and decide to trade there draft for two quarterbacks and wow, that 4 in 12 team is in the playoffs. Darcy never went to high school but for 16 years we continue to put up with his horrible drafts and deals bobby corkum, raffi Torres, dominik Moore, big bear Steve Bernier, danius subris, vile Leino, robyn regehr, jochen Hecht,ok I am done - Buffalo1000

I would choose a veteran coach with team they have now to give it one last push. But, if they want to move some disappointments out (Stafford, Leo, Gerbe, etc.) and play more younger players they I would choose a coach to grow with them, like Dineen, Rolston, etc. |

young coach . that can communicate with with them . - cabin
You guys have bosses and most of you don't like them. Do you think Thomas vanek likes ruff. Vanek arguably are best player in the last 5 years average 16 minutes a game. On any other team he plays 18 to 21. Ruff has no message to these guys. Do you think anyone of them like playing for him. Boyd's sure didn't give any ringing endorsement of him. But lindy will play. A 35 yr old no goals ,concussion plagued jochen Hecht 21 minutes and then he says well vans was tired from the game before.hey lindy Hecht played 17 the game before and vanek 16, lindy is a dumb Moose Jaw,Moncton or wherever he is from, hic

...And another thing, we cannot buy a face-off win. We must be in the bottom 3 in the league at winning draws. That's been our m.o. since Brierre and Drury left.
The fact that Hecht makes the roster after being resigned three days before the season starts tells me we have no talent at C that we can count on in the minors. That, combined with Grigorenko's young age is part of our desparation. down the middle.
We need Centers so we sign wingers such as Leino, Ott and even promote Ennis to be centers and they wonder why we cannot win a face-off... |

I'm kind of with you. I say get the best guy available. Young, old, whatever. Then take his input for player moves. If he can win with the present group, have at it. If he wants to get faster, tougher, more offense, more defense... then trade, draft, waive, sign accordingly. |

I hope Lindy is fired. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but not the coach.
The fact is players come to Buffalo afetr having success elsewhere and completely fold. Subsequently, they leave and regain their form. Perhaps not a great comparison, but Brad Boyes is having a great start with the NYI.
I don't believe Ruff relates wwell with skilled players. He was a grinder in his playing days. He doesn't pick up on their mindset well.
Conspiracy theory - The players are tanking it until he is canned.
If he is fired. this team will go on a run... - RockyFarr
This isn't Washington......... Darcy wont fire him especially in season....and Pegula wont force him .....no we have 38 more games if not several more seasons

That's why I am giving up my 8 tickets in the 100 level and I gave up my 6 van miller tickets. The coaching ranks and general manager ranks are littered with uneducated and lifers who are not qualified. The ones that are, dominate there sports |
