Grigorenko needs to play with talented players, not Hecht. Not Kaleta. Not Gerbe. Not Ott.

Also, I cant help but think that every time he gets the puck and slaps it around that the coaches arent in his ear. Theres no reason why he doesnt skate up ice and create time and space. Hes playing too timid, and you can tell its all on the coaches. Kids afraid to make a mistake so much hes not playing his brand of hockey.

Whos Conacher playing with? Whos Tarasenko playing with? Whos Yakupov playing with? Hell, I'll even throw Kassian in here.

All playing with top 6 talent. Thats why they are producing.

Hes 18 might be 22 before it happens....many excellent players took a few year to develop and the rest of the team struggling isnt helping him at all ............i just hope we all don't give up on him (brass included) or his confidence get to rattled before he can reach his potential

would you sabre fans rather have a young/relatively young coach that may have up and downs for a season or two (few) but could build around the team and have success over a period of time (more of a gamble due to the "unknown" factor)

or would you want a vet coach who has shown success?

I'd take Tarasenko any day of the week over any rookie to play with anyone, inside the top six or out. The kids sick and can create his own chances almost every shift.

Grigo looks like he's afraid he's going to be benched if he screws up. He's not playing with the dynamics that were seen in Quebec and the WJC. I'm confused by the Sabres decision to keep him up and use him like they are.

I hope Lindy is fired. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but not the coach.
The fact is players come to Buffalo afetr having success elsewhere and completely fold. Subsequently, they leave and regain their form. Perhaps not a great comparison, but Brad Boyes is having a great start with the NYI.

I don't believe Ruff relates wwell with skilled players. He was a grinder in his playing days. He doesn't pick up on their mindset well.

I am not saying Lindy Ruff is not a great coach . He is just not a great coach in Buffalo anymore . We all love that Lindy was gritty Sabre . But the time has come to make a change to the coaching staff and the system . It gets to a point that players do not listen anymore .

It happens in all pro Sports organizations . I believe Lindy is the longest tenured coach in North American professional sports . Bump him upstairs . Make him assistant GM . I don't even think you have to do it now . Take your lumps this season then make a change . With this schedule due to the strike I do not think it is even fair to bring a new coach in till the end of the season. But a change is long overdue at this point
