13 full seasons
4 trips to the ECF's, 1 trip to the finals
also won division another year
I'd say 5 good years
not enough lately though - homiedclown
he's had plenty of good years too I agree, just time has come here.
I know I defend him at times, but that doesnt mean I dont think he needs to go. |

even though leopold scored last night, he seems the most expendable to me. he hasnt been playing well. from what i have noticed he is not playing well positionally in the defensive zone, has not played the body, when he is 1st on the puck he has'nt been strong, he will be a UFA at the end of this season and we have 3 other offensive dmen on this roster.
maybe darcy is waiting for a deadline deal to maximize the deal.........but that would mean he is giving up on this season, so i doubt that. - joshs
i doubt he finishes the season a Sabre |

Just something some of the guys have been kicking around here the last few days. I don't think it's any type of improvement. He's -6 so far this year. The last thing we need is another defenseman that's got a career -44. - HonkFortheGoose
it was an oiler team that was pathetic though
mark streit is a -30 for the last 91 games
he is an all star on the right team
+/- is so over rated
every time your on the ice for an empty netter, you get a minus
thats a -10 for those guys every year, at least |

I'll admit that I like that we haven't had the knee jerk reaction all the time around here, but at the same time, you have to know when enough is enough. This management team has exceeded that at this point. |

I kinda put him in the same lump as tommy g
he stuck it out through some crap times
but like tommy, his time at this position is over
I have no problem giving him a job upstairs and peggy did say he had a job for life
did he say he had a coaching job for life? |

He's still not anything I would consider and upgrade from what we already have though. That's my point. |

14 seasons. playoffs in 8 of them. First round exit in 3. Division winner in one of the first round exits.
7 seasons of total failure. 2 really good seasons that ended prematurely. 3 decent seasons. 2 miracle runs. |

One another note, I think Weber may be a fixture in the top 6 going forward. - Homer
He has earned it, and not only by default due to the poor play of 3 or 4 of the rest. |

flip side to that
the 3 years after dom left, he had no chance to do anything with that crap on the ice

maybe if it's a bidding war, but I am sure there will be 3 or 4 other guys of similar value to be had at the deadline as well
I doubt it would be a first |

No Way! Not with the way he has been playing to start the season. His value goes down with every game if he keeps it up |
|
|
|
I dont think his job is all that safe - Homer
Just curious, is that your opinion or something from your source?

Who do you think he replaces in the top 6 when everyone is healthy?
Leo? Sulzer? Regehr? |

I'd take Pardy over those 3 right now, and I like Sulzer |

As much as you can blame it on the players after Dom left, I can blame the success of his first 4 years purely on Dom.
He didnt have THAT much of a different team post-Dom. Dom made all the difference.
