I know they liked Pardy last night, but its one game and still have too many D...he'd have to be really good to stay once all healthy IMO.

You're probably right. In a way, it may be better to have him playing in Rochester. He could end up just sitting around in the pressbox and I don't think that's the best either. Since he can go down without having to clear waivers again, he'll likely be the odd man out.

Brennan could be the odd man out one way or the other....I'd still prefer a trade or two, we have enough middling defenseman.

That's what I'm saying. He has that amount of time. Being that that's the case, he'd likely be the one sent down. Since he doesn't have to go through waivers again. They don't have to risk losing anyone.

on a positive note......
myers and pardy played well together.
we got 2 lines scoring.
1st line is still clicking.
brennan showed that he can put himself in good scoring positions as a defenseman (too bad he rarely hit the net with his shot).

"Lindy has been the coach for 12 years."
"Sabres have lost 7 of last 8"
"9 games is too early to pull the eject button"

Guys been here 12 years. Has had 3 seasons of some success. Hes losing badly. But 9 games into this season is too early.

I don't understand what all this Smid talk is about. We already have too many guys that fit that into the 3/4 role.

It actually had nothing to do with that. It's just awful how one sided the national broadcasts are. You'd swear the sun shines out of every player on the Bruin's ass.

Rask did not look that good. I've said the same thing about Miller at times. Rebound control is just as important as the initial save.

13 full seasons

4 trips to the ECF's, 1 trip to the finals
also won division another year

I'd say 5 good years

not enough lately though

I hope you're right. I'm not the type that just jumps on the bandwagon, but I think at this point he's outworn his welcome.
- HonkFortheGoose

Exactly. I've never been one to beat on the whole "fire Lindy" drum, but enough is enough. The team is woefully unprepared most nights and horribly unmotivated to play good hockey on a consistent basis. That falls on Ruff. Turn the page. Now.

Just something some of the guys have been kicking around here the last few days. I don't think it's any type of improvement. He's -6 so far this year. The last thing we need is another defenseman that's got a career -44.

even though leopold scored last night, he seems the most expendable to me. he hasnt been playing well. from what i have noticed he is not playing well positionally in the defensive zone, has not played the body, when he is 1st on the puck he has'nt been strong, he will be a UFA at the end of this season and we have 3 other offensive dmen on this roster.

maybe darcy is waiting for a deadline deal to maximize the deal.........but that would mean he is giving up on this season, so i doubt that.

yep

all the more reason why we do not need 5 puck moving d men

I think we would be better with this then what we have

myers/pardy
hoff/weber
mcnabb/pysyk
