It's not Bozak's job to be that type of player
- AngryWhiteMale

Of course it's not his job as a 'smallish centre'. But when you see your team's best scorer get mauled right in front of you, you do something about it. That's his job as a teammate.

The Getzlaf 2.0 would fill your needs.

the issue is that Bozak is being used as a #1 Center out of necessity, not because he is a true #1. Now he is a fine player, has some good qualities that the leafs need and use (faceoffs are one of them), but not in a first line center role. Even playing with an Elite scoring winger like Kessel, who he has some chemistry with, he tops out at 55 points ... so far in his career he is averaging 45 points over 82 games.. Thats great for a 2nd or 3rd line Center. In my opinion, when Kessel is slumping like he has been so far, he needs a playmaker to help bring him out of it, set him up so he doesnt have to do all the work, at the moment it seems like Kessel is the one trying to do everything, he could easily have 3 more assists if his line mates had more finish..like Kessel himself.

I know I wrote a rant on how we should trade Kessel, but getting a number one centre doesn't necessarily fix the problems. Consistent goaltending would change everything.

Reimer has been consistent the last 3 games, If you have watched the Leafs they have just played like Ron Wilson is behind the bench especially last night not being able to clear the puck from there own zone.

exactly.. this is all i am saying. its not his fault he is being used iin the wrong place out of necessity.

but to turn around and say he's useless and not worth anything is just well.. stupid.

i mean, if you decide to drag race.. and you bring a 91' four banger ford tempo, is it the cars fault you lose the race?

Its a good start. By filling that hole you strengthen another spot in the lineup.

Yes, the car should have known it couldn't compete and should pay your new debts for doing so.
