They're still here because Pegula doesn't believe in firing anybody. It's what made him a billionaire. Unfortunately, he's going to have to learn that professional sports takes being cutthroat to be successful. I fear that will take a couple of years. - buffalofan19
All I know as I will give the best professional sports owner this city has ever had the benefit of the doubt. Darcy and his clown show he has been running for 15 years in a row (Ruff included) don't get a pass any longer |

I agree. Unfortunately, this team has to hit rock bottom for Pegula to do something. And even then he probably won't. |

I'm sure he will. This has been the biggest problem with this organization. We never hit rock bottom, we never are bad enough to get a Stamkos or Crosby or fire a head coach yet were never good enough to be a contender on a regular basis. Darcy is too stubborn and has over rated his talent here for way too long. I'm just sick and tired of looking at teams that have been picking in the top 5 to going to the Stanley Cup all in the time where we have been hovering mediocrity for a decade and a half. It's frustrating. |

Not just Myers, a lot of players here. As far as him looking like a baby giraffe, his skating was much better friday and his play was much better. I said this yesterday, If he catches Skinner on that play and he doesn't score on an empty net it ends up being a Great play by Myers and he ends up having a pretty solid game. He made a nice give and go with Ennis and Ennis couldnt bury the shot. He's only 22, he has not regressed. His numbers don't match up with that assessment - sbroads24

I honestly just think Darcy is actually "scared" to pull the trigger on a major trade, sometimes you have to take the risk and hope you're right but he feels he has to win every trade in order to make the deal. |

I have a feeling Myers is just out of shape. Sure he played overseas, but he also was injured. I'm wondering just how good that ankle is. It seems as though he can't get rid of the puck fast enough. |

Ok let me ask you a question then, our 2 biggest problems with Myers are that he has regressed from a calder season and he gets paid way too much for a guy that might not turn into an All-Star. If these are the reasons then why were you so on board with trading for Paul Statsny? Statsny has regressed every year since his first couple NHL seasons, he is completely over paid yet you wanted to bring him to Buffalo? Not to mention all of the excuses you used for Stastny about him not playing with good enough wingers and him being hampered by an injury are all acceptable, yet for some reason no one can make an excuse for Myers? This is not meant to be an attack more of just a question. Why is it ok to make excuses for Statsny's regression but not Myers? Statsny is paid like a top NHL center, Myers is paid like a top NHL d-man, why would you want 1 of them here and want to trade the other 1? I'm saying this because the local media is the same way IMO. |

I don't want either of them here right now to be honest. Look at the Corsi ratings on Myers. They aren't a glowing endorsement. Btw not sure who it was but Myers is nowhere close to scoring a goal every 4 games over his career. If he was we wouldn't be having this conversation. |

Is it not possible that Myers has not had a decent guy next to him since Tallinder? Regehr has not been playing well either. Leopold was very average last year with Myers. All I'm saying is we fans will make any rationalization as to why other players on other teams will be a fit here or how they will be better with player X than player Y but when it comes to our own players we seem to have 0 tolerance for someone who is over paid, myself included, I was very critical of Vanek for a long time |

Darcy and Larry created the problem with Vaneks salary. The we will match any offer was and is a joke. You can't say that publicly. IMO Vaneks contact was 15 mil more because of that. They are paying Myers based on potential, something IMO we won't see until this contract is up, if we ever see it. |

Also on a side note here I don't dislike Matty Ellis he is a trooper who is a blue collar player but Kevin Porter or Brian Flynn should be here instead. This team should waive Ellis and McCormick. |

I don't think we'll see it at all DD never have been a fan of 57, I think he will be a good d-man but I'd deal him in a heartbeat for the right player. |

The thing people have to understand about Pegula's relationship with Darcy and Lindy is that he hasn't worked with them that long and he is not firing them based on before he bought the team. I remember Pegula saying that although Darcy has been here for awhile, he was going to have a clean slate with him from the moment he bought the team. So for Pegula, he's only been working with Darcy and Lindy for like 1 1/2 - 2 years. |

Pegula himself said the other day when he called Sylvester on hockey hotline that he talks to Darcy more than anyone else including Ted Black. |
