While I agree, our opinions don't matter. Gotta remember by game 12 a quarter of the season is over. You will see a major trade go down around then. Think the Boston/SJ trade in 05/06. - dadeadhead

I hope that's true, for me atleast there's no hiding it I think Darcy needs to pull the tigger on a signature trade and I think any of the big 3 in Anaheim are the answer. - sabresfandan
They don't like Getz. Homer has said it and I've heard that as well.
Perry will cost a poop load in a trade or in July.
Love Ryan but people around here feel his is what he is a 30/30 guy. I don't agree and feel he would be blasted here.

I like Perry the most of the 3 but I think Ryan is obviously the most realistic trade target. - sabresfandan
Like I said Ryan would never get a fair shake here. It's sad really because IMO most people don't watch him play and formulate an opinion based on well he plays with x and y. They bounce him around the top 2 lines all the time.

I still think Darcy likes Ryan though and that is one of his targets.

Some of their alleged assessments of players around the league is mind-boggling. The Sabres might be one of the most quietly arrogant organizations in the league. Jason Arnott being "too slow" is another one.

Agreed, not sure Anaheim is going to move him though. IMO they resign Getz and trade Perry for a 2nd line center, top 2 d prospect, top 9 forward prospect, forward project, and picks.

That's what this team needs. A major shakeup to change the look of the team. Roy/Ott was a good start but the team needs a game changer. A face of the franchise type player. Darcy and Lindy have been married TOO DAMN LONG to guys like Staff, Hecht, Ellis and Gaustad. I liked Gaustad but he's WAY overpaid.
Time to make the bold move Darcy. When you hear the name 'Myers' starting the conversation you need to at least listen.

I would've loved Arnott here as a 3rd line center, said it all offseason.

No player on this team is untouchable. A team calls about any of them, Darcy should at least listen.

They're still here because Pegula doesn't believe in firing anybody. It's what made him a billionaire. Unfortunately, he's going to have to learn that professional sports takes being cutthroat to be successful. I fear that will take a couple of years.

Sounds like a few players here. - sbroads24
If you're referring to Myers, it's not that he's not getting a fair shake. He should at least be in the all star conversation as well as the Norris trophy conversation. He's not even close on either of those fronts. Gunner said it best he looks like a baby giraffe learning to walk, by year 4 IMO we should be seeing him make the jump into the one of the best around. That just isn't the case and we as fans should be concerned.

The great thing is we have a owner that is a fan of the sport and team, the bad thing is we have an owner that's a fan.

Not sure he sticks. With the Rags signing Arnott, I'd make a call to see if Brian Boyle is available. - dadeadhead
Brian Boyle? Thats just what the sabres need, another guy who can throw his weight around. while were at it, why dont we pick up Mike Rupp and Colton Orr?

Not just Myers, a lot of players here. As far as him looking like a baby giraffe, his skating was much better friday and his play was much better. I said this yesterday, If he catches Skinner on that play and he doesn't score on an empty net it ends up being a Great play by Myers and he ends up having a pretty solid game. He made a nice give and go with Ennis and Ennis couldnt bury the shot. He's only 22, he has not regressed. His numbers don't match up with that assessment
