Apparently nobody told the Hawks that the game was on Eastern time. Hopefully they wake up soon. Hard to blame Crow on that first one. |

This new look BJacks team is pretty impressive...lot of relatively new faces and they look hungry tonight. Brookbank back in, takes a penalty early and it's 1-zip bad guys. |

Not being sarcastic here - no, not CC's fault at all - no support, teammates couldn't clear....
BUT: and not that he could have gotten it anyways, BUT:
When he goes down in a scramble at the net, he's on his knees, on his back with his legs in the air, on all fours facing the net - everything but as square as he can be to the puck - just flopping like a bass, unable to right himself.
I don't see other goalies with that problem.
Oh, well, he made a couple of nice saves, and they got out of a not-very-good period tied. |

Foley and Edzo noted the Bjacks game plan early. Target our d-men with the body early and often. Put those hits in the bank, hurry our d into turnovers and maybe it pays off. I hate when Chicago is outhit, which is pretty much every night, but we always seem to weather the physicality and counter with our own style as the game goes on. Looks like that is where we are after 20 minutes.
1-1 in the armpit of Ohio. |

Tough goal, happened so fast, but you're right, Crow gets an F- for stylistic points on that goal.

Do you have a man crush or obsession with CC? What is the proper technique for giving up a goal?

Seems like some of the forwards were struggling against the bj's physical play as well. Someone mentioned this was a trap game, and it seems like it, both in terms of the score and how Columbus is playing defensively. They're pretty effectively clogging the neutral zone. Hope the Hawks come flying out the gates in the second. |

Well, it's not flopping around as if you have no control - happens very often when he goes down like that on a scramble.
And it's not seemingly stopping shots, only to let them trickle thru your 5-hole, as he's done three times (almost four) already.
Look, I agree the Columbus goal was not on him - teammates couldn't clear the puck or the crease. |

Wayne Gretzky was the best player ever—from the neck up.
Bobby Orr, from the neck down. What an amazing player he was. Guys who were/are also a joy to watch play (to my eye): Yvan Cournoyer, Bobby Hull, Paul Coffey, Hossa, Pavel Datsyuk, Peter Forsberg . . . - John Jaeckel
JJ,
throw pavel bure in there for me. neck down, that guy could do stuff less than a handful of guys in history could do

Funny. No because he has been incredibly mediocre and has been a turnover machine the last 2 games. |
