I take my shots at Duncs and for good reason, but i'll always love him for the heart he showed after this. What a warrior !

I was at the 2010 Hawks convention and Sharpie made a comment about Duncs that was memorable too. To paraphrase, he said Keith was the type of guy that would keep you awake until the wee hours asking questions about life. Sharpie said his honesty and curiosity about life made him a special human being to be around. Won't lie...that comment touched me big time.

That's cool. Was at that game with some friends when they swept the Sharks and DK lost his choppers. Didn't find out til after the game why he was out for a while and couldn't believe he came back to finish. I like his game overall but can't believe since the Cup year he's become so bad at shooting from the point. Didn't he have like 14 goals or something that year?

You may have also just hit upon one of the reasons for their early playoff exits. Maybe someone should introduce those two to Ambien so they can get a decent night's sleep.

Three times in Feb. A game in each of three consecutive weeks. Should be fun!

Could be just like back in 2010.

Not really their fault though that C2 has a Lake Michigan size 5 hole and the nerves of this guy

Stuart annihilated Landeskog just prior to the two goals. May have hit a bit high and could be looking at a hearing with Shanahan. The Colorado announcer claims it was an elbow, but it was shoulder to possibly head with the elbow coming up in a follow through after initial contact.

Great pic; it's hilarious and scary at the same time. Dunc should have kept that look.

Is Bobrovsky or Mason starting in net for the Blow Jackets?

In town and ready to see the Hawks.... Blackhawks fans everywhere! The first time I went for the UC, there were more Redwings fans than Blackhawks. My how times change...

Interesting move by the Rangers signing Jason Arnott to a one year, 1.6 million deal. Good depth addition.

Leddy is pretty quick too. I think Stalberg is the fastest on the team though.

I'm going to predict that elusive shutout happens today. *knock on wood*

Keith looks like he's moving fast to me. But, Leddy and Stalberg actually cover more ice. Either is faster than Keith. Very nice to have this dilemma though.

I'm also seeing more 'too many men' penalties in situations that weren't traditionally called, ie: with players coming off the ice within 3 to 5 feet from the bench.

My contention for years is certain infractions are stressed to officials at different times of year....And they focus and call them more frequently.

Your point makes sense as with more sloppy play in the beginning of the season bad changes do happen frequently.

You look at a guy like selanne who, while he plays a different game, has been able to maintain most of his speed due to great condition to age 40, and I have high hopes for Hoss just like you
- rollpards19

Exactly...Every so often a player doesn't see the dropoff in ability that most do. Kind of a freak of nature....Nolan Ryan comes to mind, Chelios.

If you go back and look at most NHL HOF players after 30-32 their #'s dropoff....Selanne not so and if Hossa can avoid the head trauma he could be the same.

Hawks Mgt is hoping so because they will be paying him for a very long time.

It also matters what type of race....But Keith while he is very quick, takes short choppy strides and looks like he is moving the fastest.

The players who look the best, longer strides smoother in no particular order are Hossa, Stalberg and Leddy.

Frolik has legs like Earl Campbell...powerful.

They haven't had an asst coach who was a defensive player since Yawney left...

Larry Robinson has to help their cause.
