I wonder how serious Leino's injury is, or if Ruff would rather run with Gerbe. Since none of the guys that are left would make it through waivers and all, it's not impossible they're playing the system a little bit. |

What are the rules for IR. isn't there a min amount of days , once the player is put on IR before he can be taken off IR ? |

I hear you,
I meant if Connolly got 4.5, then Clowe is worth more than that on the open market
I don't wanna overpay for him either - jdfitz77
I understand what you are saying.
GM's paying that much for Clowe are the reason the lockout happened. |

Can you find out if Gerbe's mitts are indeed some of the silkiest on the team? |

1. A club may place a player on the Injured Reserve List if such player is injured, disabled or ill and unable to perform his duties as a hockey player after having passed the Club's initial physical examination in that season.
2. A player who has an injury that renders him physically unable to play for a minimum of seven days after that date of the injury can be placed on the Club's Injured Reserve List. Once a player is placed on the list, the Club may replace said player on its NHL roster with another player. All determinations that a player has suffered an injury warranting injured reserve status must be made by the Club's medical staff and in accordance with the Club's medical standards.
3. A player placed on Injured Reserve is ineligible to compete in NHL games for a period of not less than seven days. |

Exactly . I actually like Leino's game . He plays the sidewall as well as anybody in the league . Points are not everything.

I hate when anyone refers to good hands as "silky mitts". I do however think that the Gerbe-Grigo-Ott line will be fun to watch. |

Does anyone know if re-entry waivers still exists in the new CBA? If a guy like pardy or porter get called up do we still risk losing them? Can a team still pick up guys for half the cost on re-entry waivers? |

I don't mind Leino's game. I just don't think it's worth anywhere near what they're paying him. |

Well they were trying to make a splash and show everyone they were players now . Leino happened to be the lucky winner of that grand gesture . I cannot hold that against him . Tell me anyone here in the same situation would not have taken the offer . No Sorry I cannot take that , it is way too much . LOL |

Re-entry waivers no longer exists. Pardy can be called up in the way that Morrisonn could not. |

I'm not knocking Leino for taking it, and I understand that the Sabres were trying to make a splash. That doesn't change the fact that if you're going to make a splash, it has to be on someone worth making a splash for. Leino is the opposite of that. |
