Top 0' the morning.

Lets go boys win one for the hell of it!

Keep their game fundamentally sound and maybe they can catch the rangers on a bad night after an emotional win.

At least the defense is as healthy as it's likely to be all year. I wish the Flyers farm team had any sort of depth whatsoever to call up but that's how Homer rolls, no asset left untraded.

The good news is that the #1 lockeroom guy in the league, Jody Shelly, is %100 healthy and ready to motivate the players between periods. You just can't put a price on motivational speakers.

Man, it'd be nice to see Giroux have a monster game and get us a win. Rangers may be tired, but that never seems to play in our favour. Start off by scoring the first goal of the game and go from there... Please get a win, the Leafs fans I work with are planning the parade route..

This game is a terrible match up for the flyers. However, if they come out hitting they may be able to wear down the rangers who played last night.

If they come out flat in the first, wearing them down wont happen. Would be nice to beat the rangers..

The final score will be 3-2 rangers..

I think the Rangers are a better club right now. 4-1 Rags. I hope I'm wrong b/c I don't want to be negative but I just think the Rags are playing better hockey. The Flyers are without Briere, Hartnell, and Schenn that hurts big time.

Bryz will have to be big.. i can see them blanketing Roux tonight in this depleted lineup. If we continue to suck on the Power Play, 4-1 sounds about right. I am hoping we get lucky and win, but from what I've seen so far and our recent history vs the Rags, a loss is more probable.

Sounds like eagles fans except they're Canadian and applying their antics to being maple leaf fans.

I'd like to see more drop passes at the blue line, puck handling through 3 defenders instead of getting it deep. And our dmen pinching in the play when the 4th line is out.

Hey Bill,

I know it's early, but if this season spirals out of control do you think the Flyers will ride it out like in 2007 or will there be pressure from up high (Snider) to do whatever it takes to save it (i.e. trade youth like Schenn and Couturier)?

I don't think Couturier is going anywhere unless it was for a franchise defenseman in his prime (which isn't happening). I like Schenn a lot, too, but I'd personally be in favor of considering a move that would bring an up-and-coming offensive-minded defenseman back in return.

That might be the scariest lineup I have seen in a looonngg long time..

Shelley, Wellwood, Sestito, Gervias, McGinn and Laughton (although he has been one of our better forwards.. he is still an 18 yearold prospect) all in the line up...

So youth for youth? I think they should ride it out as long as possible.. if by mid-late Feb playoffs dont look to promising, then we start looking to unload a few players. Unfortunately we are a little hamstrung with some NMC's... I wonder if Kimmo would wave his?

I'd like to see more attempting to get a scoring chance instead of clearing the puck on a 5-3 PK, less movement on the PP and more undisciplined penalties.

Also, trade our young players because their value will never be higher.

seriously, if they drop a stinker tonight, the boos will rain down. Bryz seems to be the only player that's showed up so far this year..

Unfortunately I feel the same way.. Almost as if a loss is unavoidable. We suck against the Rags, we have sucked so far this season, and now we are without 2 top 6 forwards..

Does lava ever entertain the thought of putting a dman like gervais on the 4th line? I know we havent had a healthy crop of dmen in awhile. But how can they scratch gervais or foster in favor of some of these guys?

Bill for GM.....Snider has been patient since 1976, wonder how long he will be patient with Homer if the boys dont do something soon?
