Reimer is 2-0-1 with a GAA of 2.26 and a .926 sv % in 3 Career games vs Pittsburgh. - jbold

thats not what two way means
two way applies to the salary earned only.. he still has to clear waivers.. thats based on a combo of age and pro experience. - Dozzer

You are speaking to the wrong person, I have no respect for tanking, you play to win and purposely gutting your lineup for the sole intent to tank is disgraceful in my view. - LeafMan
100% agreed. Although admittedly sometimes i wonder if we are. |

Backstrom? - poohcrumbs
backstrom is like what 35? same thing as the luongo crap, we dont have the team to play in front of him or go far with him and backstrom wont win us a cup. Its a bunch of IFS. Might as well gamble on someone like a bernier or stick with scrivens and reimer. |

This ties into what I just posted a couple minutes ago.
He is a completely smug, arrogant dippoop who knows nothing about hockey. I can't even imagine how terrible he'd be as a player, or a coach, or a GM.
Who ordains these idiots the final authority on all hockey related news? They are just talking heads who can't even be bothered to track down real stories. What was the last piece of insider info that Simmons truly broke open on his own? What trades has he broken?
He's no better than some schmuck with a blog. - Leeman4Gilmour
He broke the story that Sundin's career was over due to a hip injury that never happened and he went on to play several more season.
Simmons and Cox = sensationalism and to be controversial. |

'cause other teams see them slacking and want nothing to do with them so the leafs are stuck with them for now. - dmnted
Every team has them. Some are able to be dealt with, ala new CBA. but not all can be.. |

He is the only young goaltender that is on the trade list at the moment if you think about it thats in the nhl and wants to be the starter and prove himself and traded - Mapleleafs_91

I'm so
I thought two way meant you can go up or down from the nhl to ahl whenever without having to clear waivers... or did nhl13 lie to me |

Holzer does not. HE signed his contract in 2010 and has only played about 4 NHL games so is still wiaver exempt.
Capgeek has a nice waiver calculator, bless their souls - lumlums
oh poop didnt realize that about his contract.. so my guess is he is the one heading down once gardiner returns
only one that can be sent without be exposed |

luongo is old and we do not have the team in front of him to play, the senators have enough problems with their goalie situation thats why they brought in bishop, so now they have 3 in anderson, bishop, and lehner |

I'd expect that. Fraser and him have both been a little shaky, but if you can send one down and not lose them, you have to do it |

I see Lupul Signs and Carlysle immediately demotes him to the 3rd line.

Trade Idea
To NYI:
Phil Kessel
Stuart Percy
To Tor:
Nino niederreiter
Ryan Strome
I think this would work for both teams, but Nonis would need ownership approval to trade our best player and tank this year. It would help us get closer to one of Jones, Drouin, or Mackinnon at the 2013 draft though. - Holy_Makinaw99
Kessel finished top 6 in NHL scoring last year with no number 1 center. And he is a lock for 30+ goals every year. You are looking at Strome, a 1st, and another top prospect for him. Yeah the Islanders won't want to do that, but that's what it would take to move Phil. He isn't going anywhere, he is a perfect fit for the leafs anyways.

Who says the senators want to trade him though? We are just assuming trades, senators have had enough problems with goalies, i doubt they want to trade any of them |

Not really, I heard he is going to play this line more than Grabo's line. So it basically is the 1st line, since Grabo's line plays more than the Kessel line either way. |
