Anyone listen to WGR this morning. White brought up an out of the box idea. For the teams that miss the playoffs they go into a loseres bracket where they play for the number 1 overall pick.
Like playoffs but for draft picks. I like it. It would make teams try and generate more revenue. - ImThatGuy
I don't see how you can have 2 different playoffs going on at the same time. It would take away from the Stanley Cup as fans of teams like Edmonton and Toronto would focus in this new playoff. |

I think the non-playoff GM's should have to thumb wrestle for the #1 pick. |

Mikhail Grigorenko is making it tough for Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regier to look him in the eyes after he’s played five NHL games, and tell him that he’s being sent back to Quebec City.
I'm sure they wouldnt be able to find him to tell him anyways. He sure as hell hasnt shown up on the ice.
Wonder where he's hiding. - jbold
Speaking of hiding, how is Zack Kassian doing? |

Play a best of 3 instead of best of 7. It would be over a month sooner. I doubt the PA would go for it. I really liked the Idea. It would take out the Edmonton gets the pick three years in a row because of dumb luck. |

Not anymore. The Scott v. Orr fight was a classic enforcer v. enforcer fight. It served no purpose whatsoever. Those days are over. Scott got beat down and is now more of a waste than when the Sabres first signed him. They need Leino, Gerbe, and McCormick to get healthy so they do not have to dress that guy anymore. Worthless. - rmiethaner
Agree. Scott should only dress if the other team has a heavyweight dressed. If not, nothing Foligno and Ott can't take care of. |

If that is the case Toronto will be sorry for firing Burke. He is that Canadian thumb wrestling champ. |

I would rather them have a lottery. All teams that didnt make it in have the same odds of winning. Televise it live on TV. Now thats exciting. |

Did you see the fight I hardly think Lucic is going to run from Scott dropped with a body shot THUNDERSTRUCK - blizzzard
Agreed.
All the homers can say what they want but John Scott in this lineup doesn't help as much as what Staff did the other night.
When a player does something unexpected of them it sets a tone. Everyone on the bench takes notice (IMO).
Not a huge Staff fan but he really showed me something the other night. It tells me that he's learning how to be a pro and make a difference, not just on the stat sheet.
Who needs John Scott on this team if guys like Regher, Staff, Orr, Foligno (dare I say Myers) steps up every few games and gets into a fight.
If these guys hide behind John Scott all they are is the same bunch of pu$$ies they've always been.
Just an opinion.. |

I can totally agree with that, that was a fight that probably most people thought he would get his a$$ kicked and he took a good shot or too but didn't get embarrassed by any means and yea it probably did do more for the team then the fight last night |

Lucic runs from anyone thats close to him in size & can fight.
Lucic will run from Scott but will go after a pest Kaleta type (or Miller). |
