You know I love Dozzer, but apparently after one game, a guy who has played exactly one game in the NHL is now a lock on the Leafs' defence.
Too soon to start talking Norris Trophy? - Atomic Wedgie
riiiight.. because i think he is a solid guy (yes, moreso than franson, personally i hate franson's game) it means i think he is all star bound?
no, i do not think he is an all star, but yes, i do think he has more to offer than franson or holzer. |

I liked him in Tampa during last years ahl final. I wish the Leafs had traded Aulie for Tyler Johnson or Cory Conacher instead of Carter Ashton. - mykokes
Agree, I was so Pissed off when Burke traded Aulie, then spout off about how many 1st rounders he coulda got, Drank all 28 Bud in the Box that night. |

Anyone else wish that Paul Ranger would figure his crap out and decide he wants to play in the NHL again? And hopefully decide he wants to play for the Leafs? Then we could definitely look at moving Franson, Komi etc. - vermie22
If he does play in the NHL, it will be with the Leafs. Thats what he said in an interview about a week ago. |

Maybe that Detroit rumour has legs, they have to get a second rounder to make it worthwhile for the Leafs, imo. - LeafMan
yeah, move him now before his time in toronto makes him worthless.
remember we gave up nothing for him.. and unloaded lombardi already. we're already ahead... a second rounder would be great |

Hopefully that's sooner than later, I got the impression he had man crush on Eakins, and Eakins ends up coaching with a different NHL team in the near future, Ranger would follow...but I have nothing to back that up. |

he has figured his poop out. He wants to play a full season in the AHL and make suree he's ready for a return to NHL rather than rushing it.

Buyout for Komi next season is all but a given IMO. If Franson has to go then he can go too, no big loss there. We have lots of defensive prospects, guys on the Marlies and then can sign/trade for additional guys.
Edit: Phaneuf, Gardiner, Gunnarson (RFA), Liles...two of Kostka, Fraser, Holzer, Percy, Rielly, Blacker, etc. There's six and change right there. Even pick up a vet UFA/trade if need be. |

Well, I would say he is a lock, for tonight anyway. He's earned himself exactly that. Another game. Just one. He's not a lock for game 3, until he plays well in game 2. |

Clearly something cooked up between Burke and Steve Simmonds. Pretty sure GIllis will be going after Ek next. - Canada Cup
I love Gillis' fcuking whining to the media.
The Luongo crap wasn't invented by the Leafs. It started in Vancouver because the coach, the goalies, the team and the GM can't get their collective sh1t together. Then they expect everyone to buy into the stupidity of why Luongo is valuable and whine when no one is biting on it. What a piece sh1t this guy is. |

Eakins isn't going anywhere. He gets the reigns with the Leafs next. They're paying him soft market NHL money to stay.

Im under the impression that for whatever his personal reasons, he wants to be in Toronto and only Toronto, close to home. |

You think the Leafs will be in on Austin Czarnik, Kalle Kossila, Tyler Sikura or Jay Williams ? - AdamFrench
I know where you're going with this lol, but dude come on, last I checked, Conacher's in the NHL. Think he had 2 points in his first game too. Tyler Johnson's 5'10 and seems to be handling the AHL just fine.
hmmm, i may have been hasty there jumping the gun on the guys you included there.... I don't know much about any of them. Czarnik is smaller than me, and that's hard to do.....but what's Sikura like? |

I read a story where it has to do with his girlfriend or wife who is from Ajax. She apparently has some high corporate job and won't budge from there.
Don't know if thats the real reason or not, but you never know. |
