Would be nice to have another scoring line being the fourth line. Why throw a grinder line out when we need all the scoring we can get . 1-2-3 lines would need breaks . - cabin
in theory but what your gonna end up with is a team that's toughest guy is ott.
I think the team is ok down the middle, long term if they keep drafting more centers
it's the goalies and wingers that concern me in the pipeline for the next ten years - homiedclown
Catenacci will prob play on the wing
And Girgensons has been playing LW all season for Rochester
If we re-sign vanek & Pommer (we should)...
We don't need anymore wingers for a while
Armia should take Leino's spot next year
If he can't, Tropp should be ok on the 3rd line for a year
Re-signing Ott is a no brainer
That means our top9 is set for a bit

There isn't fights in every game . And in this shortened season where winning games means more . I see teams with the more consistent offence pressing , winning .But thats just me.

still need toughness, doesnt have to be fighting, but have to be hard to play against.
True, we'll see how he looks in Rochester next year
Can't really ask for any more out of him at the Junior level though- he's been pretty good
I listed him bc I think he's a possibility at some point
I expect our "third" line next year to be
Ott-Grigorenko-Armia
Could be one of the top 3rd lines in the league

seems as though Ott is gonna be the mentor for the up and comers on the third line . Works for me

I think he's a good guy to have with them because he works hard every shift and he helps keep the other team more honest. Gives the kids a little more space to get comfortable and find their legs at the NHL level.

its not just about fighting. toronto doesnt think tim connolly will help them win a game and that is a weak lineup.

Hopefully Regehr regains form for this season
Then next year we add McNabb and Tropp is back
And it's my hope that we get a "defensive" top 4 defenseman instead of bringing back Regehr or Leopold
That should toughen us up enough IMO
Adding those 3 can mean we don't have to keep a guy like Scott around as an intimidator/enforcer type
If Armia makes the team next year,
Our 4th line looks to be some combo of
Gerbe, McCormick, Kaleta & Tropp
All of which have a gritty style
I'm ok with that
I think McNabb playing regular minutes will help the most,
I'm sure Miller will appreciate it

McNabb's been a little up and down this year in the A. They may opt to leave him there for another year, since he'll be eligible without having to clear waivers. I thought he started out the season strong paired with Pysyk. It appears that they've shuffled the pairings and now he doesn't look so great. Because the Amerks games aren't all that accessible, it's hard to say if the changing of the pairings is what caused the issue or if the issue prompted the change of pairings.
Either way, they don't have to rush him up here and can let his game develop another year in the A if need be. I kind of like the prospect of having him and Pysyk play together and develop chemistry. That could end up a very good pairing for a long time.

Makes sense
Doesn't hurt to have a guy who plays at 100% on a line with the youngsters either... Lead by example
I don't think there's any way you can keep an "A" off of Ott's jersey- he's exactly what we needed on this team
