Must have been a pretty big blow up.. I dont see any other reason why this would happen. He has been pushing hard to change that team around.. working all sorts of different angles.

two theories:

- perhaps had a clause in his contract that he couldn't be fired during a lockout

- organization wants Luongo, Burke resisted

There's a 6 game rule for this season, like the 10 game rule in a normal year. They could have a junior aged player play 5 games, without gaining a season, but once he hits game 6 he's counted as a full year.

Scott Laughton is in camp, not sure about Cousins

So Burke didn't want Luongo, and I saw something yesterday about him not being interested in Bernier either (sounded like the Kings were offering him up).

You know it's like I'm on twitter in here.
