Either that or demoted.

Just took a quick look at the official roster (not listed there), unofficial depth chart (unbelievably, Dylan Olsen is listed as Right D but no Leddy on either side) -- and -- Leddy is listed on the AHL/Hogs roster.

Lord help us all, we are going to be blessed with clown shoes and Stanley's great off-season acquisitions while Leddy rots in Rockford evidently, mentored by ????

- savvyone-1

I wouldn't read anything into a lower level functionary intg the Hawks' web department trying to play catch up. Leddy will be back unless he's dealt.

JUST a minute ago heard there's lots of discussion going on (involving the Hawks—teams calling). I should have more tomorrow or the day after.

Trigger could get pulled on something very soon after the CBA deal is ratified.

Heard about one specific player who might be offered to the Hawks, interesting, but no sense if the hawks are interested. Should know more tomorrow and will not say anything til I know more.

Can you let us know at least the position of the player being offered to the hawks just to get our minds racing?

Tim Sassone just tweeted:

We have our answer about which guys are coming from Rockford with Kruger, Shaw and Bollig at Johnny's today.

- Beaver-Warrior

Makes sense to me. IMO, thiose are the guys with the most NHL-ready games (for their respective roles).

Like I said, I would not worry about Leddy being up, unless he is dealt. Lots of teams are calling the Hawks and I heard going back to last season the Hawks would part with Leddy for the right price.

Goalie

But let me also say, this is in the context of an offer that might be made to the
Hawks . . . or might not.

I would hope not, Marty doesnt have much left in the tank.

Aggresive forecheck of devils masked very mediocre play of Brodeur during the playoffs and he had a shaky season up till then

But as a mentor to Crawford? Maybe his last chance?

Niklas Backstrom? We could fit him in with a small contract going to Minnesota and this is the last year on his current contract.

i dont think its worth $7+ mil to have brodeur come be a mentor to crawford when they were the 33rd and 35th ranked goalies in sv pct last year

My guess, would be Bishop or Lehner + from Ottawa for Hjalmarsson + (or Leddy?) perhaps? Along the lines of what was "discussed" or rumored over the summer! Personally, I'd love to see something like that.

NO thank you on Luongo!
NO thank you on Brodeur!

I don't know what Minnesota plans to do. Backstrom is a UFA after the season, Harding has been diagnosed with MS and they have Hacket waiting in the wings.

Could they encourage Harding to go away on LTIR and keep both Backstrom and Hackett?

im all into fun speculation too, but i find it hard to believe the goalie in question is one of the $6+ mil per year club.

seems that the hawks philosophy for the better part of the last decade is not to go after high priced netminders since the Huet fiasco, thats still all too fresh in their mind

My guess is its along the bishop, lehner, bernier, markstrom, nabokov type

I'd be alright with Luongo.

Once Gillis buys him out and he signs a reasonable contract in Chicago.

I agree, but the only difference is that this is a shortened season and Backstrom is a UFA in the summer. Stan could keep Crawford and have a 1A / 1B goalie situation. I'd rather have a Lehner or (especially) Bernier too, but I'm sure the asking price would be steep.

Speaking of trades...does anyone know what the trade deadline will be be for this season given the late start? Will it be the same?

IMO, the hawks should make two moves:

PHI needs a top 4 puck moving dman bad, send leddy to PHI for courturier (bingo, second line center with SIZE)

Send hammer to OTT for Bishop or Lehner, throw in a pick if needed

Hjalmarsson, Frolik, Pirri for Bishop/Lehner and Zack Smith??

Also, I'd do Leddy for Courturier in a heartbeat, but I doubt Philly would.

We'd probably have to throw in a young prospect. They could have Beach

Perhaps Leddy is the Dman who lost his seat in the game of musical chairs and is headed elsewhere?

No way does a kid that young with that much untapped talent go before a journeyman and an old man.

CHI prospect Phillip Danault has been traded from Victoriaville to Moncton in the QMJHL.

Wasn't he the 25th overall pick the 'Hawks got a couple summers ago for Troy Brouwer?

With Leddy tearing up the ahl... I'm surprised to...
