I think like Hossa, Carcillo is helped with time off to recover..
Don't buy the Q needs to motivate Frolik.. Frolik needs to motivate Frolik. Show the coach you should be playing.. So far, and I had high hopes for him, he hasn't show me squat. - victorymc98
I like froliks motor ...he forechecks hard and doesn't give up on plays...but at his price tag a 600K player could put up the same #'s he has....I say deal him. |

In a perfect world Bickell wakes up and decides to play with an edge and scores 30 with hossa and kane and goes on to get a big contract. Lets hope bickell decides he needs money - molly2522
I think there's a better chance of Bickell elevating his game than Frolik but even then it's unlikely. Both guys keep teasing us in the playoffs but come crashing back down to reality in the regular season. But I agree with you, I hope that Bickell wakes up during his contract year. Depending on the details of the new CBA hopefully Bickell (and Stalberg) become RFAs instead of UFAs (it's always better to hold their rights). |

In my opinion frolik has a weaker shot than alot of guys in beer league and takes just as long to get it off |

Fro's value IMHO is as a 3rd line energy/pk dude...his skating is world class despite the fact he shoots the puck like a broad.

Could be? Yes. Is that the best use of him? Personally don't think so.
I think either in the role of protector for one of the top lines or as a member of a nasty fourth line is a better spot for him. How much fun would other teams have playing against a line of Bollig/Carcillo/Mayers on a nightly basis? |

My belief is Kane plays better with a road-grader on the LW: look no further than Brouwer and Byfuglien. Lacking that, his production seems to suffer. - John Jaeckel
That is a valid enough point. Kind of an issue with most pass first players. And (bolded) probs a massive reason why the power play has suffered.
He dropped 11 assists on the power play which is absurd and shooting % maybe accounts for a few missed goals... But even strength numbers and effectiveness aren't as bad as it has been made out was what I was more eluding too. Especially when he and Hoss had the magic working. Watching those two shred up a team was pretty special.
On the power play note. What about getting Bolland more time there? He seems to be effective when deployed in that role. Is there an intelligent reason not to or is that another weird Q quirk we just need to live with? |

I was on the Saad bandwagon last year for this very same reason. This year maybe it could be Danault?Hopefully we will be getting all we need from the guys we run with this season.I would love to see a young guy catch fire, but would prefer not to need it to happen.Lets hope for a healthy team. - eagle50
I'm on the bourbon wagon. Yee haw.
Anyways, I would like them to patch with veterans or rent a players to try and take advantage of the short season. They have so much firepower and top end talent adding to that, regardless of the players age, would pay more dividends IMO than rushing up some rookies.
NHL players could totally push them over the edge IMO but roles need to be defined ASAP. |

And since we're talking about Q and his crackpot team of idiot assistants, this is NOT very likely. IMO, Q has a very bad habit of trying to fit a round peg into a square hole over and over and over.
One need point no further to the Cup year and the finals -- where he admitted it was none other than Senor Bowman who "suggested" splitting up his top line so that Pronger could not be out against the top guys EVERY shift. Up until that point, Q was going to bang home that round peg until it fit and as we saw, it didn't fit very well.
If in fact Stanley does acquire some solid veteran talent, I am totally not confident Q will know how to use it properly.
I can hear Dylan now . . . "the times they are a changing . . . "
