I'm seriously thinking of prioritizing some of these young Oilers when I draft in a couple of pools, I'm thinking my opponents will still be looking at more experienced bigger names in the first couple of rounds, but this could be a year where these Oil kids surpass some obvious all-star names for points...any insight into what the Oil top six forward lines will look like?

Ebs, Hall and Nuge have all been playing regularly and if there is a shortened season they will start it in mid-season form. Id seriously look at Eberle because he's essentially using the AHL as his playground. Hall looks to have rehabbed 100% and despite starting later than everyone is 6th in AHL scoring now. Nuge looks good to go as well. If you want a priority list, Id say Ebs then Nuge then Hall.

Cool, yeah I was thinking along those same lines. I might take a look a Schultz for a late round D grab too, I wonder if he'll transition into the NHL well enough to be a Calder candidate...I'm assuming he'll get a lot of ice for a rookie because the Oil have room on D

Aulie wasn't any sort of loss. Big but other than one good fight I don't think the Leafs lost much. The have the D prospects to spare, and when Rielly and even Finn were drafted he became kind of irrelevant.

Yeah, he'll be one of those guys I have in the back of my mind for one of my last picks if he's available, just as a roll of the dice. If Whitney gets hurt again he might move up too...I can see having some significant Oil content on a pool team as a good way to rack up some bunches of points and PP, might not be good for the plus/minus though...kind of like having Lupul and Pha9 on my team last year lol

I think the trade was a good one. JVR should be just the type of forward the Leafs need.
