Going all in Bro, huh?

Well, good luck with this. It's only your credibility, or what's left of it.

That 1 extra year and 5 extra percentage points was worth a couple more pay cheques to each player?

If they are going to agree to that, they should have settled weeks ago.

There may, or may not be a season in one of the 12 months in 2013. (E7)

It depends on how you read that?
Are players counter offering 6 years, or is the league softening to 6 years?
Again, is the variability from league or players side?

The league can offer what it wants now, and deFuhr will just say they can get more and take this battle to court.

The season is over, so enjoy the World juniors and the Spengler cup.

And the players can say no to Fehr at anytime and force a vote if they get a deal the players are willing to agree to.

They could but why would they? They hired him to get a deal they wanted done. I see this going nowhere fast.

Like the players were calling for a vote "unofficially" through sources and twitter, etc after the player / owner meetings. deFuhr shut that down in a hurry didn't he. "We can get more". he chose the executive and negotiating committee well, all hard liners, no moderates allowed that might ask a hard question. The players follow that committee as much as deFuhr himself.

He lost $850 million to gain $300 million.

No wonder the players voted to disband.

You can't put a number on losses until after the league is back up and running, and revenues are restored. IF growth had of continued at a 6 - 7 % clip, the players would have been back to the same pot of money at 50% as they were at 57% within 2 maybe 3 years. Now, with all the economical damage being done to the league, it will certainly take longer. The players are cutting their nose off to spite their faces. Long term growth benefits them more then the short term gains they are looking for.

An NHL player, who requested anonymity, says the NHL made a new offer to the NHLPA on Thursday, one which moved on contract term limits, buyouts and variance, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly would not confirm what the player said when reached for comment.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun

NHL offer calls for term limit on player contracts to be six years (7 if you're re-signing your own guys).

David Pagnotta ‏@TheFourthPeriod

Told the NHL has upped its variance to 10% as part of the new offer.

I know you guys like to chide Eklund about making things up, but at first glance, the new NHL offer being reported scantily on ESPN and TSN right now is similar to what he reported in this blog.

Here you go

@tsnbobmckenzie: In the interest of accuracy, @Eklund was first to report the NHL offer to NHLPA.

Is that good enough for you?
