Adrian Peterson needs 293 rushing yards in the last 2 games to break Eric Dikcerson's all time record of 2105.
I know it sounds a bit homerish, but I'm pulling for him. - MnGump

Someone said, "Quick had one good season"
I think fleury had one bad playoffs, where his D left him out to dry. Im not ready to cast him aside yet. And Lou was up so high simply because he was one game away from the cup. In a Canadian city where his name is mud. Talk about pressure. As far as quick goes maybe you are right, but I do think he needs to keep it up, come back with another strong season, and prove the doubters(few and far between) that he is legit.

After a few bad injuries, glad to see him back on the field top shape, hope he does it - Symba007
When speaking of NFL superstars, I think Adrian is top notch as a player and an off the field individual. One of the most humble super stars of his era. Capturing the record would obviously be an incredible accomplishment, but doing it coming off of ACL tear/surgery would be that much more amazing.
I'd be happy to see him just get to 2000. |

I have no idea if what I said is actually *true* or not.
My point was not a joke however. The US has allowed a powerful lobby to put their children in danger.
Go look at what happened in Australia, as that twitter sports guy. Or look at stats from any number of other countries.
You can respond however you want. I don't give a flying you-know-what.
The U.S. is out to fcuking lunch with their gun laws. They no longer are even close to serving the purpose for which they were written. To argue otherwise is ridiculous. - Aetherial
A Chinese man murdered like 22 people with a knife like a day or two ago. And yes, I agree, no ordinary person should be allowed to own any automatic weapon. That being said, it's not the guns that are the issue. It's the people. Someone posted the other day in regards to gun laws " it's the guns that are the issue, we are as advanced as we have ever been" if we were so advanced, why do we still wage wars? Kill for fun? For profit? That's not advanced. That's primitive. |

There is nothing wrong with any of the comments I made. The Owners if need be, should be willing to use their personal wealth to stabilize their franchise if necessary. I did not state, nor did I suggest that happen on a long term basis. But the Owners of those teams are responsible for the issues and failings of the struggling franchises. So if there is a financial price to pay for the mistakes made by the Owners and the League. Why shouldn't they pay the price? Why should only the players pay the price?
And why shouldn't the richer teams do more to help the struggling teams? They aren't operating in a vacuum. The League provides them a basis to earn that revenue and profit. So if they temporarily have to share more revenue with the League. To stabilize the League and give some teams some time to stabilize, what is the problem with that?
Relocation needs to be explored. We all know that it isn't a simple case of just moving teams. It's not a guarantee of anything.
Do you agree with the players taking a lesser percentage moving forward? If you do. I'll state to you that it's real easy for you to say that....it ain't your money. - MJL
What I agree with is teams being able to afford to do business.....since when do employees get to dictate how much they should be paid with out having any input from the guy writing the cheque??? And where does the money that pays the players come from? Yes it is MY MONEY along with the other season ticket holders out there and general fan that gives his money to the league....
THE PLAYERS WON'T LOSE SQUAT....I am fine with what the owners want, but think some concession should be made back to the players with regards to the contract issues....
As far as stabilizing the league ? Owners for the most part are smart guys.....by funding losses for many of these teams is simply putting good money to bad....
Where do the players lose ? If the game continues to grow they will see salaries increase just like last time....this proposed system simply puts a drag on the inflation of salaries and allows some team to stabilize in a system that they can ALL compete in......again 30 viable teams is to the benefit of everyone.....including the 750 jobs it creates....

One of these goalies has something the other ones don't. He's also a nut case, in a bunker somewhere waiting for the end of the world. Probably blaming it on Obama.

Yes.
"Private ownership of firearms is banned in China, making gun crimes rare in the country, according to the Chinese government’s official English language website. Pistols and revolvers are permitted for hunting, and only with permission.
Instead, knives have become the weapon of choice in China. While the United States combats gun violence, China has dealt with a spate of knife attacks in which the victims, while scarred, often survive."

I think we will not agree on this issue.
It is probably not a subject we should debate. Issues as contentious as this, especially right now, should only really be discussed/debated with people you know and trust. Otherwise is just devolves.

they are a little... i think the reasons, are not so black and white. the video games, violent t.v, gun laws, no free health care, bad parenting, they are all part of the reason. people who love video games become offended and say no it's not the problem, same with gun enthusiasts, action movie lovers... no one gives an inch and that's why nothing will ever change. we will all be saying the same thing in a year or two when some other nut job outdoes the latest tragedy. |
