So the latest Dleed Tweet asks if all contracts were removed and everyone was a UFA ..who would you sign?
My Top 5 would be :
1. Malkin
2. Weber
3. Stamkos
4. Jquick
5. Giroux - opeth_pa
I would go with Lundqvist. |

Its part of it yes. No need for assault rifles or handguns. Did you miss the part about the mental health care? - Cheeseballin
It's a part yes. My apologies. It's sad that we live in a country where buying a guy is easier then getting mental healthcare. |

How about the 4 owners that issued statements saying the same thing? - landros 2
The NHL and the Owners have been trying to create dissension and break the Union since day one. They are hardly a non biased source.

Quit attacking the poster and talk about the post not the poster. Can you do that ?
Quick does not belong on that list. Not even close! - BuffaloHardHat
i was just pointing your credibility, i guess it may upset you when quick is the starter for USA over miller
quick has had more than 1 good (great) season and an amazing playoffs, he pretty much was the reason why the kings made the playoffs let alone win the cup
miller is not at the level of quick
several sabres fans have agreed that hank is better than miller and while we all agree tat miller is still a top 10 goalie (8-10) he isnt top 5 let alone you saying he is top 3 and you dont have any facts to provide it other than saying he is better than hank coz he beat him in the playoffs years ago |

i wonder why the NHLPA doesn't have a salary-sharing system, they sure do love the idea of revenue sharing - dmarsden2988
It is called players paying players.
It is a cute little phrase coined by the PA. It has no basis in reality of course. it is pure PR bullsh1t, just like every single comment from the PA during this lockout.

Yeah that is the PA solution for long term league health...
Pay the PA even MORE!
Just more PA crap we have come to know and love. |

These comments are wrong on so many levels ......wow.
How much more of the profits do the rich teams have to give......great concept if its not your money.
The argument that owners should dip into the personal wealth to finance a system that is clearly broke ....again real easy for you and the players to say it.....it ain't your money.
As far as re-location.......there are only so many teams that can re-locate to southern Ontario or Quebec City......
It is in the players best interest to have 30 viable teams that can survive and be successful ....As far as Re-location, that can sometimes amount to a knee jerk reaction....I mean with a bad Canadian dollar a decade ago.....you could have moved everyone but Toronto at one time or another....I don't disagree that some markets may never be good...but they need a system in place where by they have a shot.
Where I do agree with the players is once the have agreed to a %....I am not fully sure the NHL needs to restrict contracts and terms....let teams run there own business how they see fit
 - landros 2
There is nothing wrong with any of the comments I made. The Owners if need be, should be willing to use their personal wealth to stabilize their franchise if necessary. I did not state, nor did I suggest that happen on a long term basis. But the Owners of those teams are responsible for the issues and failings of the struggling franchises. So if there is a financial price to pay for the mistakes made by the Owners and the League. Why shouldn't they pay the price? Why should only the players pay the price?
And why shouldn't the richer teams do more to help the struggling teams? They aren't operating in a vacuum. The League provides them a basis to earn that revenue and profit. So if they temporarily have to share more revenue with the League. To stabilize the League and give some teams some time to stabilize, what is the problem with that?
Relocation needs to be explored. We all know that it isn't a simple case of just moving teams. It's not a guarantee of anything.
Do you agree with the players taking a lesser percentage moving forward? If you do. I'll state to you that it's real easy for you to say that....it ain't your money.

They do have a salary sharing system. Last year the players received 57% of revenue. It was divided among the players.

Small market Owners will have control with what they do with that money. This is again where responsibility and accountability lies with the Owners. But heaven forbid they be expected to be held responsible for their decisions. |

I think he means more evenly within the players. Like a crosby giving some of his earning to a westgarth. Like what the owners would do in sharing revenue. |

I think Crosby has already indirectly done that. He could easily command more then 8.7M a year in salary. He is arguably the best player in the NHL. Max salary was 14M at the time of his re-negotiation.
And even if player's did that. The overall percentage given to the players as a whole, wouldn't change. It would just be dispersed differently among the players. And really would serve no purpose to helping out the League or the Owners with their issues.

Adrian Peterson needs 293 rushing yards in the last 2 games to break Eric Dikcerson's all time record of 2105.
I know it sounds a bit homerish, but I'm pulling for him. |

I have no idea if what I said is actually *true* or not.
My point was not a joke however. The US has allowed a powerful lobby to put their children in danger.
Go look at what happened in Australia, as that twitter sports guy. Or look at stats from any number of other countries.
You can respond however you want. I don't give a flying you-know-what.
The U.S. is out to fcuking lunch with their gun laws. They no longer are even close to serving the purpose for which they were written. To argue otherwise is ridiculous. |

D1ckerson is my all time fave runner. He is the only guy who could be stopped behind the line of scrimmage... for a gain of 4.
I am cheering for Peterson though. It is just too great of a story and always fun to see a major record like that broken. |
