Push that aside for just a second... An attempted mass murder.. Where guns are banned? I thought that was supposed to fix the problem?
- Deadmau55

Did a mass murder happen though? No because there is a gun ban. Take your head out of your ass.

But all the proves is that people will still attempt to kill. Guns or no guns.

Give guns to the kids so they can defend themselves...., school principals should have rocket launchers and grenades along with an M16.

Can push out it aside....the result of a no gun policy saved the life of many in that case in China, sadly, in the US where there is 126 000 guns shops and carrying a gun is encouraged by many, 26 people died....including 20 young children.

Yes. Attempted. That need to kill is still there. Guns or no guns. We as humans have an issue.

Gun problem in the U.S?! Fix it with more guns!!

Murica!!

- Deadmau55

I've heard the argument that it's in Merica's culture to be violent. They have a long history with guns and warring. Somehow that makes gun violence in the US understandable.
I disagree. England has a much more violent past. They pride themselves on being the small island that almost conquered the world. Yet gun violence is almost non-existent considering it's overall population.

I just don't get why gun violence is so prevalent in the US.

The part I really dont get...Fehr has convinced the whole PA to lose hundreds of millions over as you say " issues that may only affect a very small percentage" What a bunch of dummies! The players can tell there kids in the future " hey kids, look at the lockout of 2012. We fought hard and lost millions in income, but a few of the players were still able to sign 8 yr deals instead of 5. Umm....what was the point again...hmm...i cant remember."

(frank)ing idiots.

I agree. If it saves just one life it is worth it. I'm not in favor of assault weapons, if people did not murder ever, like, murder did not exist, assault weapons would not be an issue.

I think the point is that there will ALWAYS be crazies out there that try to take other people's lives. The best solution to that is to limit types of guns available, and to limit who can get them.

It is not about 'blaming' guns. It is simply this: if more gun control would have saved the life of just one of those children, isn't gun control worth it?

Right back at ya! Every post you make is absolute poop.

After we get MJL perma-banned I would have Bieksa#3, Jbold, Beatle john, Tuna and Scoobie doo as the next ones to get rid of.

Everybody knows the impact of mental health issues when it comes to these tragedies. But it pisses me off when politicians use that argument. Because the attitude seems to be:
a) we have no interest in greater gun control because the cause of the shooting was a man with mental issues; and
b) we have no interest in providing funding or solutions for mental health problems either.
The Dems are pushing for more gun control, why aren't the Repubs pushing for more funding for mental health services? The whole "guns don't kill people, people kill people" is a good soundbite, but both parties seem unwilling to do much about it.

I've got my kid's new school pictures right in front of me on the wall. Little girl is 10, the boy is 7. They're smiling for the camera. Their whole life in front of them, now getting excited as poop for Christmas. Thursday 20 kids my son's age were doing the same thing and now they aren't. 20 kids. 27 families that are destroyed. Countless other children that will never be the same. It makes me ill thinking about them, thinking about those teachers who put themselves in the line of fire to try to help whomever they could. All because some coward was able to get his hands on a piece of machinery that people use to kill one another and was purchased legally. Why someone would need such an instrument is beyond me. I'm not going to sit here and condemn the Americans on this site for their rights and what they believe in. I have no right to do so. It's a shame that it's come to a bunch of pissing matches of "us vs them". It really shouldn't as this isn't the proper place for it. It's just so hard to not get caught up in what we think is "right", we've seen this so many times yet it doesn't happen anywhere near the frequency here or abroad as it does in the States. So if an American is taking offence to any of the posts keep in mind, we're not picking on you or trying to start anything. We just don't get it.
