It's such a weird food city.
Honestly the only thing they do well is fries.

but i will admit they do them great. even poopty places have tremendous fries.

i find montreal has amazing restaurants actually. but they're all pretty pricey. we have a lack of mid-range restaurants you can just walk into for some good cheap-ish food and a few beers.

the best pizza in montreal imo is this wood-oven pizza place near little italy. but there almost no good NYC style take out/delivery pizza places. most of the pizza places are run by greeks or lebanese and they have no idea how to make pizza. also most montreal pizza places have the cheese on top of the toppings. i dont mind it but when you screw that up it just makes it inedible.

I have eaten Pizza in several major cities across much of North America and Halifax still reigns supreme for both Za and Donairs.

Also I have never been to Chicago or NYC so much is left to be decided.

Gigi's pizza in Pointe-CLaire village is as top notch as it gets but the guy got screwed by the tax man a while back and he made some changes. Pizza is still great but he doesn't deliver anymoer and charges you $30 for a pizza.

I get it from this place call SPano's now in DDO (got some yesterday actually) and it's pretty close.

also yeah you're right about nice mid-range stuff it's either a fluu course meal where you blow a hundo for two people or a chain where you blow 60 and you get microwaved wings

I KNOW

also I could be biased but generally nobody in Hali eats generic big chain za its all mom and pop joints and of course the legendary pizza corner downtown where the four shops have each taken turns winning pizza of the year in Canada on various occasions
