he really is

i wanted to serve the penalty because the timekeeper was cute but he was always half way to the box

i've actually been practicing, the last few games, at shooting pucks off people hoping it leads to a goal. gonna turn caper into Ryan Kesler 2011 and just hope he doesn't think he's Pavel Bure because better players than him banked 20+ goals in off his butt like Ryan Kesler 2012 did

Few years back I had a 1 goal season where my one goals was an empty netter after I blocked a shot of my shinpads and the puck bounced off and rolled all the way back to the empty net.

3-on-3 though so smaller rink.

Back in first year Bantam I was the designated guy to do this. Coach even sat me down and told me. After like game 10 I stopped though and told him no because he would regularly take a bench minor for yelling at the teenagers that reffed our games, and because he got a bench minor he would then blow up like a minor league baseball manager.

Pretty sure he didn't finish even half of our games that year behind the bench and the minor hockey association kicked him out.

We weren't even a good team so it wasn't really like I was taking one to help the team win. I was like our second smallest guy, but probably second fastest and like one of two guys that averaged a PPG that year.

That year was basically every crazy hockey parent story rolled into one. Half the team's parents were nuts, our coach was a psycho, our manager spent all the money on dumb stuff "because that's what elite programs do". like yeah, I'm sure the key to the elite programs was ordering customized towels, pant covers and name bars for the sweaters. not extra ice, games or tournaments.

Everyone already had black (frank)ing pants on that team but apparently getting expensive ass custom covers with embroidery for numbers and logos that also had a stripe of green that was so dark you couldn't tell it was there is more important.

(frank) i hated that year.

love those guys. When he sent me the team budget this year we had more earmarked for our Christmas Party than our entire ice budget.
