I just always found the combat in Skyrim so clunky and I could never get into the skill building like spending 3 hours smithing arrows and stuff

Josh what are your thoughts on Battlefront?

edit: please be as detailed as you feel you need to be.

- dt99999

my friend,

i think my thoughts on the battlefront subject are quite focused. i enjoy the game very much. there is no other star wars game that gives me the feeling of actually being in a star wars battle than this game. the sounds and graphics are amazing. i think the gunplay is chrisp and handles well.

i like the star cards. i like that you have to earn them and that they are on a cooldown. it adds a little bit of thought to their use and i like how you can select different packs on the fly.

i am disappointed in a few things though. the lack of launch maps is a concern. they have a plan to release many maps over the next year, but i can't help to feel ripped off by the amount of maps we get in the base game. while i think the maps are fantastic and offer good amounts of cover and a wide array of battle techniques, i can't help to be disappointed in the fact there are so few.

there is also a general lack of depth. the amount of weapons and unlocks is criminal. i think there is only 16 guns and most of them are not blaster rifles but pistols and shotguns (which i can not think of a single shotgun used in any star wars movie or book).

i also find the hero pick-ups annoying. if they were randomly placed on the map, i could be fine with that. but the issue is that they spawn in a few rotating locations, which leads to people camping those spots and not actually playing the game and earning the heros. not a fan of a "killstreak" style system, but maybe an overall map queue to allow everyone at least one chance or a more random pattern could solve this problem.

lastly, the player models are okay, but a helmet-less stromtrooper is the dumbest thing ever. only one, the new guy in episode 7, has ever taken his helmet off and i find it immersion breaking that we could have a whole team of stormtroopers without lids. its a god damned shame.

in conclusion, i like the game. it is one that i will randomly play in short sittings for a long time. the lack of depth hurts it a little, but in terms of a fun casual shooter, i can't think of one i'd rather play more with my sound system blaring. it could be much more, but it is fun and i don't get vagtastically pissed when i finish rounds in the bottom of the scores. i hope this post eased some of your concrens and also proved that i may be dead but i have pushed through death and live on as a force ghost with my boy, revan.

ANNOUNCEMENT AND COMPLAINT

just beat TOMB RAIDER
i am the best

but

i became giddy when the credits began to run as each group was accompanied by a black and white photo of the department team or whatever

I SAT THROUGH 20 MINUTES OF CREDITS, READING ALL 6,000 NAMES LOOKING FOR MARTY AND HIS NAME NEVER SHOWED

- Crimsoninja

The only work I did on the game was taking the black and white photos.

first fallout game with building in it

not sure what you mean by scraping debris but that might be new too

in the other fallout games the most tedious thing I'd end up doing is side quests to get the unique weapons

You can build new settlements. To build a house you need wood and metal. You get wood and metal by recycling debris you find.
