I'm still pissed we didn't sack Wilson earlier and hire Hitchcock.
Another opportunity wasted. - Atomic Wedgie
I argued for HitchRichard also!
He seems to have a limited life expectancy in coaching roles, but he also turns organizations around. |

I actually wasn't taking a stand on how I thought Reimer would do lol, I was very guilty of sitting on the fence with this one. I never once said he would do well either, I just said, nothing is for certain with Reimer, good or bad. UG's pretty convinced though it'll be nothing but bad, and that's a valid opinion. UG just has to recognize he has no factual evidence to say that Reimer being bad is a certainty other than his gut-feeling and based on 30 or so games last season.
The Lupul discussion though, we were legitimately on opposite sides of. I didn't agree with his comparison to Tucker and McCabe, and I think I presented my case properly. In the end, its all moot. But if we have a season, that will be the debate throughout, do we or don't we move Lupul. - mykokes
Tucker McCabe is not an exact comparison. I think the lthought process is similar though.
If I do not beleve the team will contend until after Lupul is on the decline, then I trade him now for a good return (if I get the opportunity). If (for some bizarre reason), I think the Leafs are actually going to be contenders in the next 4 to 5 years, then I hold him.
The reasoning is the same as it was for Tucker or McCabe, even if the player's situation is not identical.

And even better than that.
D Wade as JT. - markmark
Ya but 100 years ago white people didn't paint their faces black and make fun of and degrade black people in minstrel shows, so now only white people using dark skin makeup on Hallowe'en is racist and offensive. Darker skinned people using light skin makeup is just in good fun. |

As long as you don't use dark skin makeup you won't be an ignorant racist bastard. |

No.
We live in a society where you demonstrate your level of virtue by how outraged and offended you are by everything.
I was shocked and appalled that Bozak would dress up as Michael Jackson. Buying a Michael Jackson mask would have been fine, but by painting his face black, Bozak was clearly alluding to the minstrel shows of the 1800s.
I'm more outraged than you, Burn.
Clearly I am morally superior. |

Do you know who else thought they were superior? SLAVE OWNERS! I'm outraged and in a state of dismay baded on your hateful racism, or at the very least lack of sensitivity.

The only reason I have a lack of sensitivity is because I'm drunk.
So I'm deeply offended by the fact that you feel morally superior just because I can't control my drinking.
I'm the victim.
I'd hate you, if I didn't feel so sorry for you. |

I'm pretty sure they'd agree to make the above a literal pejorative before they resolved any labour disputes. |
