all these experts in here seem to believe the only qualifications you need to be president is being good at running a business....its no problem if everytime you open your mouth about any country you say something incredibly irresponsible and piss them off....its no problem if you cut taxes for the rich and screw the poor (so half the country), its ok that Romney lies all the time and gets caught and then flip flops....the list on that is very long
but hey after you go through all the flaws of a Romney presidency if you're fine with that because he should be good for the economy than yeah sure its clear he's the best choice lol
somehow though i dont think anyone posting in here is part of that 1% of rich ppl he's working for...so enjoy screwin yourself over....and over....but i mean imo to the rest of the world there wouldnt be a shock if he wins lets be honnest you guys elected Bush
TWICE!!!!!!!!
p.s.: lets talk Benghazi (aka the only thing republicans want to talk about these days and the answer to all questions asked to Republicans)
who blocked the bill for more embassy security? Republican senate (what a shock)
how long did it take to get out of the great depression since this was the worst one since then, alot more than 4 years and WWII helped speed it up because sadly war creates jobs and alot of money.....and yet Obama was supposed to completely turn around what took 8 years to mess up, in 4 years....right (the always amazing republican logic: if you spend 1 million dollars in a week its only right that it take you only a week to recover that money...clearly)
so of course if your vote is for Romney i can see your plan....maybe you're hoping all the stupid antagonistic things he says about the rest of the world is gonna create another world war so that should help speed up the recovery
good times!
SHANGHAI HABS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WATAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
its even funnier that some of you guys think the conservative beliefs in Canada are the same as the conservative beliefs in the U.S....lmfao thats priceless, i dont claim to be a political expert, but some of you guys should really just stick to hockey topics only.... |

You should be sorry because you are dead ass wrong. The only reason that the Canadian dollar is at par with the US dollar is because of the Oil Fields in Alberta. The Canadian dollar is directly tied to the price gas. Canada has totally sold out its values and is destroying the environment out west for the sake of crude.
Furethermore Canada has next to NO military cost because the depend on the US as its security force. And the US has more elderly and poor to take care of than Canada has people period.
Conservatives want to pretend 2000-2008 didn't happen on thier watch. Yeah keep blaming Clinton for getting a BJ......right. - Buffalo--Sabres
What you're talking about should be relative.. but it's not. Saying "the us has more elderly and disadvantaged" and "canadian dollar is tied to oil" are true, only relative to the other facts. Canada has one of the highest child homelessness problem in the developed world - relative to it's population. Canada is definitely tied to it's natural resources, oil being potentially the most important - relative to the GDP. Speaking of the GDP, canada's military spending per year is approximately 1.45% of the GDP - $2.95... billion - approximately 0.8% of the American military expenditures. However, look at the state of the American economy.

Bill Clinton - Finishes office with the Largest surplus ever
GW Bush - Finishes with the largest deficit ever.
Obama - 4 years to fix that poop.

No, you would step in! You know why?
Because Canada, economically, is nothing more than a colony of the US. We sell you our natural resources at ridiculously low prices, you manufacture them (or send them off to Mexico through American corporations), and then sell them back to us at ridiculously HIGH prices!!
The US gets all the 'value added' on our resources!
We don't even have an oil refinery for god sakes!! We sell you our crude, you refine it and sell it back to us!
Canada is a gold mine for the US. The reason the US would stop anyone is not because of the goodness of it's heart. It's becuase Canada is the US's little female dog economically and whoever took over Canada wouldn't give the US such great deals. - Charliebox
I'm not going to even pepper this one with a silly remark: this is one of the most absurd and moronic comments I have ever read.

We, in Canada, lived under a devalued currency, back in the 90's. Imports where expensive. Food was more expensive. You had to work longer and harder, to try and stay even. You, in the United States, are starting to feel the pain of a devalued currency. Wages stay stagnant, but the price of utilities, fuel, food rise, as the dollar devalues. Your savings will buy you less and your pensions will put you into poverty, if left unchecked. Sure, you'll have jobs, but you'll need to work longer hours to survive. It's not a pretty picture.
On China keeping their currency low......have you ever talked to a Chinese worker? Why do you think they all want to come here? - PrinceLH

When was teh last time the GOP controlled the Senate?

they controlled it 65 seats to be exact from 2010 till now which is the time that Obama kept getting all his bills blocked....so yeah no..nice try tho
its 51 to 47 for democrats now though (2 indy) so if he gets this 2nd term he can actually start doing something....why do you think the rich are so desperate to get him out now |
