I am thinking you should change the location since we will be paying for Visnovsky since he is now a member of the Islanders. Just a thought though

I still believe it's a valid point. If he didn't report(which I know he said he would but i can think of a few other players that said the same thing)it would have been factual. It was a theory which Botta reported ala Tim Thomas and is believable. He can make fun all he wants but right after I posted it Botta reitterated it and he is more respected(whether he is a douche or not) in the hockey world and knows the Islanders better than anyone on this site least of all letsgoisles

21 year old bust...god im glad youre not the GM
- LetsGoIsles

As a high draft pick, yes he's a bust. Didn't say he has absolutely no future as a player but weak shoulders do not make the best defensemen - he's also on the small side. I'm not the only one who thinks that but I'd love to see a picture of you with your BST deHaan jersey. Please post!

Additionally, you're saying you're pleased with the job Garth has done/is doing? You like seeing us pick top 5 every year? You like your ranger fan-friends rubbing sh*te in your nose?
You like being the laughing stock of the NHL? You like no playoffs? You like being lied to? You like the Rebuild 2.0? You like not knowing where this team will play in two years from now? These are things that winning cures. Charles is the owner but this is Garths team. I think Charles took himself out of direct decision-making (when it comes to player selection/contracts) after Yashin & DP contracts. I'm sure he sets Garth's budgets/expenses but Garth def is the one who decides IF a player is worth signing/drafting.

We'd have a better team with me as GM. It's almost a fact to say this team couldn't do much worse...

Most say he was a reach where he was selected. He was a high risk high reward pick. My point was all of the picks mentioned were reaches most were shots in the dark as reported at the time. I wasn't unhappy with the Strome selection but to say he is a definite NHL'er is way to premature. My problem with Snow at the draft table is he seems to ALWAYS not take the safe pick(minu Tavares thank christ who we all feared wasn't going to be picked and with good reason)and think outside the norm. With a rebuilding team with not many blue chip prospects after five years of having the option to pick in the top five you NEED to take the safe pick. Outside of Tavares and Hamonic(who Snow gets lauded for as being a genius for on this board, guess what? Hamonic was not some big secret that Snow figured out. He was a second round pick)there is not much to show for him picking in the top five for 5 years. Yeah I know some of these kids have time but you can say we should have seen a lot more for consistently losing for 6 years and honestly it's a better argument. I think alot of people on here say Snow is a good drafter just because there is no other option left for the guy. Can you say he is a good GM for making trades? How about how adept he is at signing FA's? What do you have left? Drafting and so far I'm not overly impressed.

I hear ya...it's hard to screw up when picking Top 5 each year but Garth is certainly testing that theory....

i speak for myself...apparently you feel you need to speak for others to validate your points.

- LetsGoIsles

I think you could probably say a legitimate 70% of the people on this board. No need to mention names. You'll say doesn't make it true but I know you know I'm right. That's what matters.

don't name names....

CDH played one game for us last year, and looked pretty good. I understand its only one game, but he looked more composed and confident in his NHL debut than others have in 2 seasons.

I have no ill-will for Cdh. Wished we would have seen him in more than one NHL tilt.
But if he's injured BOTH shoulders in the "A", playing with smaller players, then what will happen on the big stage? I am not pleased to have to say it but the writings on the wall. I would have traded him last year and gotten SOMETHING for him. He wasn't exactly lighting it up in B'port in any category. Not like he was making it hard NOT to be called up. But Hamonic has been up for more than a full season and has surpassed CdH as a legit nhl'er.

He had already injured both shoulders before this current injury, so I don't really see how his trade value is significantly less from whatever it was before this.

Totally agree with the Hamonic point. Did not mean him whatsoever in my post. Targeted guys like Reese.

Really? Not to argue but really? Of course it does. Kind of looks a little more like a consisitent problem at this point. throw in a fourth shoulder injury and it will drop(his trade value) even more.

I kind of see your point.. but i don't think his trade value was all that high before this injury.
