Hahaha, I'm not really killing snow because like its been said the draft is a crapshoot, but some of the picks leave you scratching your head |

Bailey? DeHaan? Nino? Strome? All of these picks were at the least questionable. So far none of them have "panned out" of course there is time but to say these were picks that were'nt questionable would be kind of stupid. Crap shoot or not. |

Bailey? DeHaan? Nino? Strome? All of these picks were at the least questionable. Snow as well as Wanger seem to pride themselves on being different which thus far has obviously not worked out so well for either. So far none of them have "panned out" of course there is time but to say these were picks that were'nt questionable would be kind of stupid. Find it funny when some people say Snow has done a great job drafting? Just haven't seen it yet. Crap shoot or not. - Cptmjl

I'm not a Bailey fan by any means, but he turned out better than Filatov and Boedker. I would say he's about on par with Schenn and Wilson. Hodgson is probably more skilled but had his share of injury issues. |

Hindsight is 20/20. We got hamonic in 2nd round the year before. Donovan might be pleasant surprise. Not to mention pedan could surprise. And I wouldn't count out wishart or ness just yet.
Dehaan is our new Tim Connolly. All the skill, just made of glass.
I'm not that concerned. How can anyone compare reinhart and hamilton already. Both have yet to make the NHL. Don't worry.

Don't forget we got extra picks with bailey. So it's like comparing, bailey/hamonic vs schenn or Wilson.
Looking Bridgeport now and the isles prospect report I think snow has done a might fine job since 2009.
Don't forget there were plenty of guys on this board that said we should have taken duchene or hedman instead of Tavares. Where are those guys now. |

He's made of glass. He gets hit no differently than any other player in the "A". He happens to be a featherweight and the force of the hits and the boards crumple his body because he is made of glass and injury-prone. |

Don't offer him a contract because he is 21 and built like a 16 year old. You can't change genetics; legal anyway. He is never going to crack an NHL line up so why keep him around. More of the same, putting false hope on talent that is not there. Cut bait and move on - if he was good he like most other Canadian Jr. National members would be in the NHL by 19, not back in JR. hockey for 19/20 and the AHL for 20/21 year old. - Isleswknowledge
de Haan will make the Isles lineup in the next year or two. He has to, they're so thin on "D" and he has skill. Trouble is, he's weak and will be in and out of the lineup and trainer's room consistently until he puts on some weight and can start withstanding hits from men at the professional level, not kids at the junior level. |

Anyone who said that was a flat-out fool. Truth about the draft is nobody would be bit*hing about the draft picks panning out so much if the team didn't rush some of the guys they draft and was able to bring in decent veterans to fill the NHL lineup with instead. Bailey and Nino were both rushed. Neither was an NHL player when they cracked the lineup. Now, both guys are disappointments. We will be saying the same thing about Strome and Cizikas if both are rushed to the NHL once the lockout is over.
Look at the guys they took their time with: Hamonic is a beast. Martin is living up to the player he is expected to be. There is no objective time table that players should be measured to. They should not hit the NHL ice until they are ready to play at that level, whether its at 19 or 25. Players shouldn't be put on the NHL roster so their salary number can be used to count towards the salary floor. |

Ahh Jon Mirasty..possibly the only company Yablonski has as a completely more useless player than Trevor Gillies - eichiefs9

I dont think they will give up on him at all. I say they give teh kid a chance at least a couple of more years. Wishart on the other hand is make it or break it type of year. |

Side note : I love how the players talk about the Players Union, meanwhile, the stars are over in europe getting paid, while the 3rd and 4th liners, are sitting on their butts jobless. Real unity......what a joke. |

I just wanted to let you know you said the ame thing yesterday but I understand your point. there is no unity it is each there own. The NHL has become a bigger joke then the Islanders so I guess that is good for us no?
