i guess in this case your opinion is just as good as mine here, european leagues just dont help when it comes to determining how good a player will be in the NHL, most of the european superstars that are in the NHL now didnt really have spectacular euro stats coming into the NHL.....

which is why i'd rather go glass half empty on this one....and based on the fact that he doesnt seem to be in that much of a hurry a la Yakupov/Grigorenko to get into the best league in the world.....imo he's likely to be a radulov...i jus think Passion especially when it comes to Russians is key, passion for the NHL, the WANT to be in the best league...when it comes to goalies or D its fine imo to stay and get some real experience at a higher level...since ur likely to play in the AHL for a few years anyways

but if ur supposed to be as good as they say and your a forward...whats the reason u arent here? whats really the reason?

i'm not hating but im HIGHLY skeptical

you're right tho i did see his stats in the KHL they definetly are impressive....but i mean Radulov's stats in the KHL are spectacular.....whats really the reason? is it contract? what is it, its not like ur stuck playing in Nashville or Phoenix, u'd be coming on OV's team u got a fellow russian....etc...

i dunno man the lack of hurry to get to the NHL worries me...imo Filip Forsberg is the truth he'll probably make that team since there's an open spot left by Semin...the caps shouldnt hold their breaths of mr Kuznetsov

lol Procks such a loser. He comes into a Capitals thread bashing the Canucks Pull your life together man. Ya I love how the Capitals have drafted. They've got some studs in the late 20's. Prock...who said we have a piss poor prospect group? I'd take Kassian, Tanev, Jensen (second in SEL goal scoring as a 19 year old...rare) Schroeder who made Hodgson expendable, Lack (the best goalie in the AHL over the last two years) and Gaunce...... Not to mention Frankie Corrado who is considered one of the best defenseman in the OHL. Kevin Connauton who was an AHL all star and won the hardest shot competition. Already has the skill to QB an nhl pp over a lot of prospect pools in the league. The only difference is the Canucks wont rush their players into the NHL. They'll develop them and make them earn roster spots. We also are missing a 2010 first round pick.

Who says? Just about every source that rates prospects. They're terrible. And they haven't managed to develop one into the NHL in years.

Why aren't they here? Maybe they like being at home?

And the guys who didn't have spectacular stats over there, you're likely looking at a 17 year olds stats.

Hopefully you'll watch a KHL game or two. Two years ago I saw two games live. Awful.

Edit: The Kuznetsov goal here is typical of the d-quality in the KHL...and note that he gets hurt 1:13 later. http://www.russianmachine...hushes-celebrating-crowd/

Its still better than any other league other prospects are playing in.

And if you think its so bad, why aren't guys like Malkin and Datsyuk blowing him out of the water?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the angry one judging by your posts. I just come here for the laughs and to talk a little hockey. You seem to have a passionate and unhealthy obsession for the Canucks(and Cody Hodgson). It's just a game...have fun with it!

No it's not, not even close. It pays more money than the AHL and that's all.

Your arguments are baseless. Do you think Malkin and Datsyuk have gone over there to do anything more than stay in shape?

I’ve got friends that have played in both. Yeah, it actually is.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say about Malkin and Datsyuk. That they're just out there for a skate, and not actually trying to win?

Oh, ok, I'll ignore what I saw because you allegedly have friends that have played in both.

I'm trying to say that the level of effort Malkin and Datsyuk put forward in the KHL will be less than the NHL. You'll disagree because that's what you do as a reflex but why would they want to wear themselves out?

Why would they put 100% effort forth? Because they’re professionals? Generally, guys that get that far are pretty competitive, by nature. You think you’re the only one to see a KHL game? It’s not NHL level, obviously, but you’re kidding yourself if you think it’s not good hockey. You really think they’re just out there lollygagging around?

Kovalchuk is playing like he did in ATL, floating around and not back checking.

Yes, I think I'm the only one to ever see a KHL game.

I never once said it wasn't good hockey. ECHL is good hockey compared to beer leagues. I was suggesting the KHL isn't as good as the AHL and I stand-by that statement.

There was a considerable amount of lolllygagging in the games I watched in general. It's not a far stretch to think that the NHL players are leaving gas in the tank in case the NHL begins play. And, yes, compared to their play in the NHL, I believe they are lollygagging for the most part.

Guys take nights off in the NHL so please don't suggest 'professionals' always put forth 100% effort.
