but i kind of get weirded out by the sheer number of things that are trader Joes "brand"

it goes from like orange juice to raisin bread to pasta to frozen fish to cereal to cheese and on and on. how can a company make EVERYTHING?!

it's great. we finally have a couple of them in nyc now but you have to be very strategic on when to shop there, it gets insanely crowded and the shelves get wiped out quickly.

they also carry fewer items than your average big chain grocery store, buying narrow and deep is more cost efficient i'd think

this is true. i almost went to work for a company that makes salad dressing and poop for the sole purpose of selling it to other people to sell as their own.
