So Gretzky has a 94 rating and Crosby has a 95

I guess Gretzky's toughness and checking cost him.

So... OKC might look something like this for the season?

F
Teemu Hartikainen / Ryan N.-Hopkins / Jordan Eberle
Magnus Paajarvi / Anton Lander / Lennart Petrell
Philippe Cornet / Chris VandeVelde / Antti Tyrvainen
Curtis Hamilton / Tyler Pitlick / Ryan Martindale
Tanner House
D
Oscar Klefbom / Justin Schultz
Taylor Fedun / Colten Teubert
David Musil / Martin Marincin
Alex Plante
G
Olivier Roy
Tyler Bunz
Yan Danis

Can anyone tell me where I can watch OKC games from Alberta?

- digitalmike

Hamilton will likely be given a season (or however long the lockout lasts) in the ECHL to rebuild his confidence. Martindale the same. Pitlick will likely fight Petrell for the 2nd or 3rd line role all season with the rest of the roster being filled out with some "grey beards" like Green, House, and Arcobello.

In regards to defense; Plante is a near lock to make the team, Klefbom will be in Sweden, Musil has another year of WHL eligibility, Fedun may take a while to get back up to speed, and Marincin may benefit from ECHL time, too. We need some more vets like Yeo, Helmer, Rodney and Co. Speaking of which, is Rodney coming back? He was dazzling in the Calder Cup playoffs and would be a great top pairing option with one of Schultz or Plante; maybe even Teubert or Fedun, if they can grow into that role.

The most important number for Hall is 126. Don't get me started. I have no desire to tempt fate. Some players, who are great juniors, just get punished by the NHL game. Could be that Hall goes five years without missing a game. But, it has not been a good start.

And skate to the head in warmup counts as a normal injury cause of his reckless style right?

Hall only lost that game due to the injury.

The Oilers get the most freakish of accidents...and accidents are a detriment only when discussing Oiler players.

Wasn't Plante the AHL allstar? So no way he is the 7th. I say him and JSchultz are Top 2.

Fedun has stated he is physically where he was at teh points of the injury, the rest is all mental.

Marincin.

Well two... That game against the Jackets and the next game against the Blues.

The one when he twisted his ankle during that fight was unlucky as well.

I thought he was in next game, but I will defer and say he missed 2...obviously the point is that Oiler players lose credibility due to injury but other players don't it seems.

Skinner won the Calder. But I still dropped him two places because of the foggy noggin.
- spatso

So he should have been best player? Why? His stat total in year 2 does not show that he deserves it. He had a crazy awesome year in rookie year, that pads his total.

what has Seguin and Fowler done to deserve their placement?

Stop trolling please, you are better than that.

Wow, based on Skinners rookie campaign he did deserve the Calder, But in the long run is he better than Hall? My heart says no. The only way to see is to see what they are like after 5 then 10 years in the NHL.
Don't ask him not to troll, as that is very subjective. When someone totally disagrees with us is it trolling or is it stateing an opposite opinion. Of course if he states this opinion to cause trouble then yes it's trolling. But saying in his opinion however wrong it is that Skinner, Fowler, and Seguin are all better than Hall w/o proof is kind of dumb, but it is his opinion.

Playing for the Oil Kings does not affect his ranking...

http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/

He's ranked #12 on that list.... If you notice he is a projected Leaf pick which means he is automatically hockey jesus (ie. Luke Schenn & Nazem Kadri).

- Reveen

Well lets take this last draft for a minute. Sameulsson was one I said was a first rounder against the rankings based on what Oiler's scout Stu Macgregor said several times. Everyone here ridiculed me for it. But the moral of the story here is he was a first rounder he had a long play-off run with the WHL champions Oil Kings and his size. All of which affected his final ranking.
Now if Lazar who has broken Crosby's records in the Canada Winter Games as a younger player put's up say a 75-80 points season with the kings then he prolly end up a top ten pick. But if as a 17yr old kid put on say an inch or two and gets 80+ points a season then top five pick. We can only wait until I prove you guys wrong again.

You're going to blog about a team that is in a different Country? You can't get the facts correct on one that is close to you.

Can imagine it now, " after 3 consecutive SO's rumor has it Danis will be signing a long term deal with the Oil to be their starter going forward".
