can't see this lockout going too long. NHL has too much momentum that's been built up over the past few years. they won't risk all that growth. not to mention, i have a hard time believing the Canadian owners are down with this lockout when the CDN dollar is worth more than the USD. i just can't see the owners staying unified. i mean, MLSE, Geoff Molson, Eugene Melnyk, etc., these guys are gonna sit there quietly so that the NHL can continue to float the Phoenix Coyotes, Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators?

The owners have demonstrated that they will pretty much do whatever it takes to get what they want. The Canadian owners know that everyone in their city will come back. They will make way more money over a 7 to 10 year deal with salary percentage's scaled back than what they will lose locking the players out.

Hey Eklund....where do you get this stuff? Seriously...C'mon. With the CBA expiring (now expired) and the cost uncertainty going forward, there will be no trades made until everything is settled. Even then, if the cap is rolled back then that will make trades even harder. Please.....consider these things before you post it. Oh, and check your sources....really....
