There high end prospects are plays who wouldn't benefit with another year of Jr and are not eligible for the AHL. Hall, and RNH wouldn't have developed in the CHL other than maybe getting a little bigger.

They were bad for rushing players (Gagner and Cogliano possibly PRV and Lander) but now they are more than patient with players who aren't ready.

Ya I agree with you all I can say is RNH just needs to put some more size same as Huberdeau.

So very true. He likes to skip the 2nd contract stage and go straight from 1st to 3rd level money. He's a players GM for sure.
- DarthKane

ya it has it's advantages and disadvantages for sure but at least he can get players to want to play here unlike previous management.

Wow Fla is (frank)ing stacked at center.

Thought Markstrom would be higher, around 2-3... but still a 1A goalie lol.

Not for long, according to many Canucks fans all these prospects (yes all 10) should be trading for Luongo straight up!

- DarthKane

That's utter BS, and you know it.

We were happy to throw in Raymond or Ballard—both, if Fla adds a 2013 first.

I didn't think Grimaldi would be ranked that high.

That would have been the only positive that could have come from him playing another season of CHL. It wouldn't have helped his play but he could have added some muscle.

Vancouver would have to add a first to get them to take Ballard.

Its laughable they think they're getting a big haul for Luongo. They can't even get rid of him.

What's laughable is they talk about all the great returns they are going to receive. But god forbid someone says something they don't like it's oh what a troll etc... But it's cool for them to do it.

Gillis is just having a difficult time choosing between the Gardiner, Reilly, and a 1st package from Burke, and the Bjugstad, Huberdeau, and a 1st package from Tallon, or else the deal would already be done.

That sure would be the jackpot for the Nucks.

Gardiner Bieksa
Edler Hamhuis
Rielly other Nucks junk

What a massive improvement

Too bad no one wants the Nucks junk.

Edler and Hamhuis play the same side, and Reilly wouldn't crack the lineup yet, so those pairings won't work.

Well, I don't know, you pick who plays on the first line wih Gardiner.

And while I agree Rielly shouldn't be playing in the NHL, he'd probably be your best option.

You really have a blinding hatred for the Canucks.

Gardiner wouldn't beat out Hamhuis or Edler for left side D on the top two pairings, so he wouldn't work there. Not even sure if he'd be able to beat out Ballard for the 3rd pairing, at this point in his career.

No matter how much you dislike Ballard, he is a more capable NHL defenseman than Reilly at this point, as well, and so is Tanev. He'll go back to jr.

30 points as a rookie, if he can continue to improve, maybe 40 this year. And very solid defensively.

Its quite possible that's.your number one dman right there.

Possible, sure.

Canucks number one pair is a shut down pair, though. Gardiner isn't going to beat out Hamhuis defensively, and I don't see him topping out Edler's point totals, since Elder finished with 49 even after battling injuries in the second half of the season. He's be a great partner for Edler if he could play the right side.

Either way, when the trade goes down, the Canucks will find a spot for him eventually

Maybe he can take Ballard's spot after the Canucks trade him to NYI for Bailey.
