People take their burgers seriously in Toronto, but not as seriously as some people take their burger names.

As the Toronto Star reports, two items have been wiped from the menu at popular bun-and-patty joint Holy Chuck after the owners received multiple complaints over their "Half-Breed" and "Dirty Drunken Half-Breed" burgers.

Dude those are cold hard facts. You can't go wrong with it. Sorry if it's too pushed and you can't calculate it yourself.

Here is a cold fact..I am not sure about your math

BTW... see the gap widening.. that is not a good thing for an independent "country"

Also I am not sure of your math but
Population
Quebec 7,979.700
Ontario 13,373.000

Payments received
Quebec ($7.391 billion)
Ontario ($3.261 billion)

Quebec has contributed $107 billion of the $510 billion in transfer payments since the program began, but has received $243 billion in return.
In other words, Quebec taxpayers got back $2.36 for every buck they put into the transfer payment scheme.

They could have just called it the "Weirdoh", bet it would have been more popular than the Italian burger.

Now if only the check would arrive...

edit : Just noticed... it's from the Sun

Numbers from CBC say QC pays around 30-34B and doesn't get it all back... a lost of 5-8B

http://www.radio-canada.c...siers/fiscal/assises.html

Those numbers seem more accurate.

The chart may be from the Sun but the numbers are correct. Quebec has received more than it has contributed since the program was started.

It depends how they count it. If you take all the taxes.. not just the income taxes... numbers say otherwise. Then if you take this and that and this and that and turn it into a valid point.. you get to pull for one side or the other.

Bottom line is the economic argument is weak, used up and old. It wouldn't be the difference maker... as long as you get the right people to manage it all.

I'd say more, considering they have a defense.

the bulldogs and development is where begevin has arguably asserted himself the most. hiring lefebvre as head coach, dufresne and a retained wilson assistants? this is where the canadiens have to be elite if they want their highly regarded prospects to reach fruition.

the canadiens as they are constructed right now, are in transition. certain contracts have to play out before anything serious is going to happen for our montreal canadiens.
