Not a surprise the NHL does not respect the Islanders why should a game maker respect them? |

Then what are the other players ranked? Yikes they even suck in video games. Poor Johnny... - mighty13duck
Lol @ JT91 NHL 13 rating a 85
Moulson, last 3 seasons 30+ goals each, 82
In comparison
Adam Larsson 84
Vincent lecaviler 86
Brad Richards (66pt season) 87
Ovi (who's season wasn't much better, if it was better than JT) 93
Evander Kane 84
Jeff skinner 84
Eric staal 87
Phill kessel 86
Marty st Louis (who probably has 0 defense and balance ratings) 87
Thomas plekcanic 86
Nathan Horton 85
Bobby Ryan 86
Getzlef 88
Patrick Kane (who JT is Better than in every aspect except speed) 86
Patrick sharp 87
Marian Hossa 89
Matt duchene and Paul stasny 85
Jamie benn 86
Loui Ericsson 85
henrik zetterberg 89
Anze Lipitor 86
Mikko koivu 86
Logan couture 85
Joe pavalski, Martin havlat 86
Joe Thornton, Patrick marleu 88
D seidin H sedin ( who we saw play a part of a season without the other, isn't elite) 90
So JT91 is once again frowned upOn for being an islander. His elite offensive abilities, and god like passes and vision are surpressed, his actually a little above average defense is overlooked, and his good forechecking (which he does a lot for a skilled player, just like Crosby) is probably un-noted
Finished 7th in league in PTs, on a team who finished bottom 3 in offensive zone time,JT placed second in pt % per team goal scored (2nd to stamkos), plays center, and made careers for career AHLers in moulson and PA
Ouch.

Visnovsky reportedly ok after crash

Lubomir Visnovsky | Islanders
RECOMMEND0COMMENTS0EMAIL
This offseason is becoming ever more bizarre for defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky.
According to publication Sport Cas.sk, Visnovsky demolished the Ferrari he was driving while whipping around a race track in Orechopa Poton, Slovakia. But apparently the veteran is in okay shape. Here are the essential bits, thanks to Google Translate:
"... Visnovsky had an accident in the strongest division D4 race cars with engine capacity over 2000 cm3 of Ireland Ring circuit in Orechov Potn ... Ferrari left demolished after the accident ... 'Lubomir Visnovsky on his Ferrari at the exit of turn two mishandled management and high-speed frontal impact into a barrier. Luckily escaped without serious injuries' ..."
After being dealt from the Anaheim Ducks to the New York Islanders this offseason, Visnovsky filed a grievance through the NHLPA -- claiming his no-trade clause wasn't honored in the transaction. Insisting it's a matter of principle and nothing 'personal', the 36-year-old is expected to play for the Islanders regardless of the arbitrator's decision.

He's the Isles property until the NHLPA rules that his NTC was still in place and voids the trade. |

I'm not following this thing at all. He's going to play for the Islanders no matter what? What is the purpose of the grievance?

They haven’t canceled an NHL game yet, but the rookie tournament many of the NHL's teams participated in the past few years was wiped off the schedule Thursday because the Detroit Red Wings, who host the annual event in Traverse City, Mich., pulled the plug with less than a month left to run on the NHL’s labor agreement.
That agreement, for which the NHL’s owners were willing to give up an entire season eight years ago, one they essentially dictated to the capitulating players, one that kicked off eight years of skyrocketing revenue for the league, has been deemed faulty by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, its architect. "In short," Raleigh News-Observer columnist Luke DeCock writes, the "NHL got everything it wanted in the last lockout. And now, after eight years of unprecedented success, it wants more. If the last lockout was a necessary alteration in the game’s basic financial structure – and everyone from fans to the players were willing to acknowledge some kind of change was needed – the lockout that’s a month away from kicking off is about pure greed."

It really is Vukota. I'm usually pro owner but not this time. Owners need to revenue share and get their own houses in order. These are the same owners who look for ways around their own system. You cannot just have a handful of teams making all the money. The smallest market teams need to have a real shot at getting the top players like GreenBay had with Reggie White. It's not a healthy system when everyone wants to run to the Rangers or Philly to name a few. The players no doubt have to take the blame as well. Many do not want to go to a struggling team to help turn things around. |

Perhaps Garth was hoping in worst case scenario, Isles would get some compensation /sympathy if he crashed & killed himself.
That being said, maybe Darius Kaspar can give him some driving lessons in the Coli parking lot.
Be funny in Lubo is actually hurt (leg/knee/hand) and withdraws his grievance and Isles turn around and get out of his contract and karma comes around to bite his eurotrash arse! |

Only with his raising the Cup inside the New Islanders Arena will this team ever get back the respect it once had. And he's just the kind of player who can do it. |
