There's literally no reason to "bet" that he won't be here. You could call it a 50/50 toss up and I'd say that would be the worst case scenario, as of this second. He hasn't even had his grievance hearing yet so "betting" on any outcome, be it positive or negative, is a baseless claim.

I don't know if I'd call that "rushed". The only one who has been truly rushed was Bailey. Calvin de Haan was drafted in Montreal, when Tavares was- I remember meeting him and his parents on the concourse. This will be Tavares' fourth year in the NHL. The kid SHOULD be ready by now, as long as he's not still hurt, which is the real issue.
