As much as Dion was destined for greatness, thus far it hasn't hit him. Maybe expectations were to high, and he is what he is. I still like him, but he isn't Olympic material with some of those other names.

I don't see Campbell there, despite his foot skills, I think they still need a big solid shut down guy in Staal or Girardi

Phaneuf suffers from the same problem that Bouwmeester does in that he's not worth money he gets paid.

He's a good defenseman and if he was paid 4.5/yr no one would complain about him but he's paid 6.5/yr and at that price you expect closer to a norris trophy contender and he just isn't that.

If Bieksa made 6.5/yr Canuck fans (and others ) would have the same complaints about him.

A lot of people are saying Keith is in but Seabrook isn't. A lot of Chicago fans might argue that Seabrook is now the better all around defenseman...

dear god. If Phaneuf is on the team we r in massive trouble. Mike please tell your joking. Lots of Norris defense an are what, -10. Doughty, Weber, Peterangelo(sp)keith , Seabrook, Myers, Staal, Letang, Campbell, Subban are all clear cut better choices then Neon Dion. Boyle, Burns, Hamhuis, Bieksa, Green and Alzner are just as good. How many D are we taking, 15?

Tell me all about Mackinnon. I'm guessing you're going on hype - he will not be on this team. He's good, really good. But he is still raw in some aspects of his game; i.e defence and physical play. He will not be on this team.
