no, i would expect them to take a week and come up with a completely different counter proposal if they were that far apart..

to me, the fact that they are meeting again today shows that the owners are willing to work with the current proposal IF they are allowed to make some tweaks to it.

now, the severity of those tweaks is an unknown.. could be a few minor adjustments .. additions or deletions.. the whole thing is the players are willing to maintain the cap.. and they are finding a way for the teams to be able to ice competitive teams while saving them money.. which are the sticking points for the owners

if anything hangs it up it will be the over max. contract lengths and player UFA availability imo

yeah.. i've been at it for 21 years now.. i dont bomb around the country in a van anymore but i still take local shows and recording gigs.. nice to keep my fingers limber

its not so bad... these guys have some tricky rhythmic changes in a couple of their songs but its interesting.. two acousitics and a djumbai.. a nice change from loud rock.
