you realize that is false, right?

I'll wait while you look it up. Oh and Phaneuf played considerably less games

- Big_Lightnin

my bad. 74 points apiece. PK played 10 more games. hardly "considerably".

14 goals his rookie year.
36 points last year.

about +19 better than Phaneuf last year.

also 5 years younger.

but he's not in Phaneuf's class.

- DoubleDown

I believe he had 38 pts in his rookie year to Phaneufs 49.
He had 36 pts last year...so lets wait and see if this kid can be consistent before we start saying he's better than anyone.
Using +/- has proof of anything isn't really a valid argument.

Oh and I'm no Phaneuf fan.

we're not comparing PK to Phaneuf at his best. we're comparing PK to Phaneuf now.

the numbers dont lie , Montreal will overpay bigtime on this guy. as they say he is a flash in that pan.
- Jarvito1967

you have absolutely no evidence of that

as far as any real stats go.. he will be a 40 point per season d-man

thats all we got to go on in reality..

hardly a flash in the pan, but agreed, he isnt the next bobby orr like some play him up to be

And I will remind everyone here that I liked McCabe.

you realize that PK has outscored Phaneuf over the past 2 seasons (PK's entire career), right?
- DoubleDown

Shhh ..compare PK's first two seasons to Phaneuf's.
Listen PK is a good D man, he's young he makes errors...hopefully he learns from them.
Phaneuf is young- ish...he makes errors and repeats them... comme ci, comme ca...what are we arguing about?

PK had a REALLY bad first half. He did pick it up considerably in the second half. I am curious to see what happens this season, if there is a season, and depending on his status.

It bodes well for PK. There won't be a first half.

It doesn't bode well for Dion. He had a great first half last year, and then nearly broke the Cray Supercomputer Sucktrometer.

(Still looking for some props on that one - c'mon, people, I'm dying over here!)

(but ya for reals licking toads can get you high - certain species emit chemicals from glans on their backs that are halucinagenic - defense mechanism)

Well, that was what I was trying to decipher. Ironically, neither one of us is French. But that is irrelevant.
